So happy! Consistently taking this Beef Spleen (and the Beef Liver from the same company) in the context of a primal lifestyle gives me the same energy level and deep well being I get from consistently eating an equivalent amount of the same offal. Plus, Beef Spleen keeps me from being anemic! It's not my imagination; I have the lab tests and trail times to prove it. To get my ferratin and hematocrit up over the lower cut off of the normal range, I have to eat a goodly amount of heme iron -- not the plant-based "iron" that the body struggles to convert into usable iron, and does a poor job of. Muscle meat has very little heme iron. Some shellfish like clams have a lot more than meat, but it's not very bioavailable. The best source is, unsurprisingly, organ meat. Beef Spleen turns out to have much more heme iron than other organ meats commonly available in the western world. It also has a few powerhouse minerals. (I comment on the Beef Liver product in my review of that. Short version: everything works better when you give your body real Vitamin A and don't rely on converting beta carotene which the body does poorly and you can't make up for by taking more because that will poison you.) I do have access to high quality offal, but because I've been traveling a lot it's become impractical to eat fresh organs as often as I want. I'm thrilled that the Beef Spleen from Ancestral works just the same for me as fresh spleen! From my butcher I eat on a regular basis: bovine heart (I make jerky), bone marrow, gelatin/collagen, tallow, lard, and salmon jerky. I'm lucky that all are local, organic, and pastured (well, except the salmon). I also take Vit D3, animal Vitamin K2, and magnesium. After years of careful and informed experimentation I've come to the conclusion that for me, the 6,000 years since the beginning of agriculture have not put a dent in approximately 2 million years of evolution. I am an obligate carnivore who needs the preformed nutrients supplied by the high-value offal foods. I would eat fresh organs all the time if I could, but in my experience Ancestral's products are just as good. P.S. I also want to mention that I've written the company twice with questions, and both times have received prompt, highly informative, and very useful replies from Brian. (I expect the other folks in this family company are super, too.)

I began taking Ancestral Supplements Grass Fed Beef Liver a month and a half ago. I have Fibro and struggle with feeling chronically fatigued. Within 2 days of taking the Beef Liver, I noticed that I had more energy. I have since added 3 more products from the Ancestral Supplement line and have experienced some profound results! Two weeks after starting the Beef Liver, my Bone Marrow arrived. The main reason I ordered the Bone Marrow was because I was looking for something to strengthen my tendons and ligaments. It turns out the family of antibiotics (fluoroquinolones) that I’ve taken up to several times a year for the last 20 years has caused me to have weak tendons and ligaments. I also have knee issues. I’ve had 3 knee surgeries on the right and 2 on the left. For the last several months, my left knee was constantly swollen. It got so bad that I told my husband that I was going to have to break down and get my knee scoped again. That was until I started taking AS’s Bone Marrow! Unbelieveably, the swelling went down in my left knee within days of me starting the Bone Marrow. I’ve been on the Bone Marrow a month now and I’ve noticed less crackling in my knees (so much less that I didn’t think this was possible) and increased mobilitiy in my knees due to lack of swelling. It is harder to gauge a change in my ligament and tendon strength but I am confident this product will help me with that too. For the last 3 weeks I’ve been miserable and sneezing my head off due to allergies. I’ve had allergies my entire life and am allergic to so many indoor and outdoor allergens that I had to have two serums and get two allergy shots at once for the years that I did allergy shots. Needless to say, I’m pretty sure I’ve tried most allergy medications out there (Benedryl, Claritin, Allegra, Zyrtec, Singulair, Flonase, etc.) I had gotten to the point where nothing was helping. I tried 3 or more natural/homeopathic allergy treatments as well but was still miserable. Out of desperation, I decided to buy AS Thymus and Spleen since I read they can help with allergies and inflammation. I kid you not, within hours of receiving the bottles, my stuffiness dramatically reduced and my sneezing stopped! Again, unbelievable results. I still get stuffy from time to time but I am markedly better and I’ve only been on the Thymus and Spleen for a week! I’m hoping that I can stop the Flonase soon. Lastly, I’ve been super impressed by the company’s customer service. The owner Brian seems to personally respond to inquiries. Next, I’m trying the Brain in hopes it helps my fruit fly memory and brain fog!

I originally started my journey back to health with Ancestral Supplements Beef Liver with such amazing results, I remember impatiently waiting for each of their new products to come available. The Beef Spleen offers incredible results, just as with the Beef Liver, and is amazing at helping me fight off any bug that I may feel coming on. I have battled with many health issues a result of re-activated EBV (Eppstein-Barr Virus) and taking this, with the Liver supplement, at the first sign of not feeling good gives my body the needed boost to feel batter fast. What on earth did you put into these supplements? I cant believe how good these products are... amazing... you can see and feel the difference... my mind is blown. You have got to try some and see for yourself. I have taken A LOT of supplements due to a health issue I had almost 7 years ago... spent a small fortune of money (and hope) on traditional supplements that had little to no meaningful benefit. I had since become skeptical of supplements so I too was skeptical of starting the beef liver and I had no expectation whatsoever. Within the first week, I started noticing subtle improvements... I noticed more energy, better moods, improved clarity of thought and sound sleep. It felt like I found a fountain of youth and every aspect of life. I have come to realize that "supplements" are intended to enhance, or add to, something that is more fundamental. That something that is more fundamental is the nose-to-tail nourishment that our early ancestors ate... this is the nourishment that is fundamental to our physiology for good health. I am now taking the liver, beef organs, bone marrow, beef heart, beef thyroid and beef pancreas (see my picture!). I don't see these supplements as "supplements," rather I see them as food that I need to feel and function my best. I am hitting the gym harder... I get less sore... recover faster... joints feel great... digestion / gut health is great... I could go on... The capsules are the perfect size... there is no odor... no taste... no problem of any kind. I experienced a steady drop in my ferritin level over time due to new eating habits and long term stress. Due to heart palpitations and anxiety after a blood donation (did not know that my ferritin was too low to give blood) I had an infusion. Thankfully, I have yet to have had true iron deficient anemia that affects hemoglobin or RBC count, but low ferritin wreaks havoc on me nonetheless. The infusion didn't keep my level up for long, so I started to try various supplements. The standard iron supplements were horrible on my GI system, and I didn't get much out of the poly-irons ( Novaferrum ). The only thing that has consistently worked has been taking these every other day. I take 2 Spleen 3x a day. I also take Beef Organs and Liver with these on my iron days; no more than 2 Liver (the vitamin a is a bit high in that organ) a day and no more than 2 Beef Organ capsules a day. In 2 months, this routine brought my ferritin up 8 points. At this rate I will achieve the minimum 50 that my doctor would like to see me at by the end of this year. I exercise every other day, am starting to get fit, eat pretty well and avoid iron leaching foods on the day I supplement (eggs, coffee, tea, high calcium foods). I am absolutely grateful for these products and the company (owner) that makes these available. If you have low iron, I really don't think there is anything better out there - I have tried it all, and even the medical infusion was short lived. Nothing has been more consistently helpful and gentle to my system. This is the way you are meant to build iron storage, slowly. If you are low, I would suggest looking up studies on the benefits of taking iron every other day instead of daily, due to the body's release of hepcidin to block too much iron absorption when consumed in excess. In summary, this is the best money I have spent on any supplement and I can't recommend it enough.

Ancestral Supplements' Concept Is in Harmony with TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) How I stumbled upon Ancestral Supplements products? I've been making bone broth from scratch every week since April, 2020. I had anemia since teenage. Many Chinese women have that problem. But I never did much about it. In April, the pandemic caused panic buying. I wasn't able to obtain Organic chicken livers and eggs I needed for my iron and protein. I fainted on April 11th from severe anemia. My ferritin was below 10 for years. I believe that it was even worse in April. I was so desperate that I ended up buying lots of expensive Chinese medicine. We also say: 以營補營 — (nutrient nourishes nutrient, which still means: like supports like) Chinese also highly value the organ meat, Just like Ancestral Supplements product concept. But what made me to try their products was that I saw customers shared their experiences of how their Spleen supplements helped the ferritin level. If I was willing to buy Chinese herbs that cost more than one thousand dollars a box, I had no reason not to buy something less than fifty dollars. I always prefer food over herbs and/or medicine. I also prefer loose powder over capsules. But I still felt more than willing to try these pills. I really love the product so far. I After taking it for a few days, I felt better energy and mental clarity already. Although there are people comment about the safety and purity of the livestock in other countries, I'm aware that no food source is perfect in this polluted world. And everything on Earth has pros and cons. Even the most expensive Chinese herbs have pros and cons. I don't understand why some people gave one star ratings when they actually couldn't find something else better than Ancestral Supplements. In Chinese, we call fault-finding people "雞蛋裡挑骨頭”, which means "picking bones in an egg". People who look for bad will not find good. I was on mostly raw food diet for a few years, including lots of raw fat, raw fish, eggs, milk, butter, avocados, vegetable... Ancestral Supplements products are made without heat, which is an extremely painstaking process to produce. I don't know who are willing to do it unless they care about other people's health way more than their profit. And I never imagined a company owner who will write, read and answer emails like Brian. My husband has been having health issues and our dr ordered blood work. His hemoglobin came back below the normal range by several points. His color was very sallow and he had no energy and felt very fatigued all the time. Everything he did was pushing himself and he was always cold. (Which my husband was always a hot box). We have more test that are suppose to be done but while we wait the dr said to work on building his iron through food. I stumbled across these supplements and as I was reading about them I thought what better way to get the iron he needs into his diet. These supplements are food. So at first I ordered the beef liver but then started reading about others and saw that the Spleen supplement had 5x the iron. So I ordered that one and the fish eggs because his vitamin D was low also. We can’t do another blood test until April 29, 2021 to verify that it is working, BUT, we know that it is. His color is back to normal, his energy is almost fully back. He no longer is sleeping every chance he gets, and his hands and feet get warm/hot after he takes them. He is no longer freezing all the time. I contacted Brian to ask some questions about other issues and he gave me some suggestions. I really appreciate the feed back and the fact that Brian has been checking in to see how things are going. I have to say that we love these supplements. We have added the Trachea cartilage and we are also adding the Brain and Lung supplements. We have replaced most everything else with these supplements. The Beef liver that I replaced with the Spleen didn’t go to waste because my son and I started taking those and the fish eggs also. The more I read about each of the supplements, the more I want to try out. I’ll give an update to this review as soon as we get updated blood tests in April. So far though, we feel like they are working and we are seeing improvements. My husband also has spots of eczema on his eyes and head and neck. That are getting better also. The itching and patches are going away. I’m sure that is due to the fish eggs. He has tried everything for that!! So to be getting relief for that is also a bonus. We are very thankful to have found these supplements. They are working for us.

I've been taking these supplements on and off for a while, but recently got serious about taking them consistently to help with a few issues I've been dealing with, particularly hypothyroidism, ferritin levels, and hair loss. The three are probably all connected, but the hair loss is one of my biggest symptoms. I've been in contact with the owner, Brian, over the years to see which supplements he recommended at any given time depending on what I was dealing with, and he's always been extremely helpful. Recently, I've been taking the liver & spleen daily. My ferritin was at 51 before I started taking them in September, and by the time I had it re-checked at the beginning of December, it was up to 66, so I'm definitely pleased. My thyroid is also improving, but I've made other changes to my supplements so it's hard to attribute that to one specific thing. Too soon to tell with the hair loss, but I'm hoping that if I can get my ferritin up to 70 and continue to improve my thyroid levels, the improvements with my hair will come. All in all, I'm very happy with this brand and the quality of their products, and I really appreciate the one-on-one support they continue to provide me. Their products aren't cheap, but for the quality, I feel the price is certainly justifiable (and quite frankly worth it if they help). My one complaint with the spleen pills in particularly is that the smell/flavor is truly awful lol, but I deal with it!

I rarely write reviews unless I am very impressed and have actually taken time to use the item. I stumbled on Ancestral Supplements on a biohacking group someone recommended to me because I have been dealing with health issues since 2015ish even though I don't eat anything processed and eat organic and free range as much as I am able to. I have done several PRIVATE (because I learned that the tests run by the NHS were not comprehensive enough eg the thyroid panel only tests Tsh and T3) tests, worked with Nutritional therapists, so called health coaches, Naturopaths and none of them really could help. My issues: chronic debilitating fatigue, hairloss, eczema, brain fog which made me literally feel like dying everyday, food sensitivities, thyroid cysts and Uterine Fibriods etc. I found these supplements and went with my gut! I had ordered so many supplements over the years and some did nothing! I had naturally become wary but I am so glad that I gave these a go. I am not rich and I know that these supplements are not the cheapest although they work out "cheap" for me because they actually work! There's nothing as painful as buying supplements or anything at all and not getting results. I learned from suffering to prioritise good supplements and food. I placed my first order from the Ancestral Supplements US store last year and I have also ordered from Ergomax and recently ordered from Amazon UK. My results : my eyes have literally opened! I am not sure that there's a better way to explain this. My head used to feel "heavy" and my eyes always felt like they were shutting or heavy eyelids. I really thought that this was the way it was always going to be for me until I tried the Beef Thyroid!!! My Acupuncturist said "your face is brighter". I knew it wasn't in my head but it was so good to hear feedback! The horrible sluggishness I used to feel is gone!! My skin is brighter too and my nails are strong and no longer "see through". The hair loss is GREATLY reduced! I think I only occasionally shed now just after my cycles because the fibriods cause flooding (apologies about the TMI). I am using the Beef thyroid for energy, brain fog and hair loss and I am seeing results with these! Using the Spleen and Liver for energy, hairloss and low ferritin and I am seeing results here too. My hair grew finally and eczema is gone!!! Hair is luscious and strong and I cannot stop playing in it. I only just purchased the Gallbladder because I suffer from constipation and Brian the founder of Ancestral Supplements suggested this and the Bone and Marrow for constipation. I only started the Gallbladder a few days ago and it has helped me so much with bloating. It is magical this one. I am just grateful for the relief from bloating which is a new symptom as never suffered this before. I read that Uterine Fibriods could cause this. I tried the Adrenals last year as well but it felt "too much" for me personally as I was so tired the next day after taking it, so I have set it aside for now. I love them because they are food! No nasties no fillers. Food that truly nourish you! I was bedridden and now waking up isn't scary anymore. I was suicidal because I couldn't imagine living like I was for the rest of my life! Now, I get out of bed every morning. I can walk again and do gentle workouts and I don't have pain in my joints. I give these to my children too. I am so grateful and hopeful!! Usually, companies are passionate and responsive in the early days and that's when you can get the best energy and answers from them. Not this one. I have emailed so many questions and this guy responds graciously all the time! He knows his stuff and he takes the time to respond and quickly too! He truly cares and you can see that in his responses. I cannot recommend the company enough without making it sound like a sales pitch. They are amazing! I feel so grateful and lucky to have found them and I am actually getting quite emotional right now because I had given up on ever functioning again. I dont even know where to begin. Brian is a breath of hope, kindness and love,all in one human being. I am currently on my week 3 of Beef Spleen, and I am feeling much better already. After talking to Brian and explaining the reason for my purchase of this product (extremely low Ferritin levels (10)), he has generously offered a free bottle of Beef Liver to try combining it with Beef Spleen, as he believes they work very well together. After being vegan for 7 years and 1 year livoing purely off fruits, my health started to deteriorate. My hair started to fall out, my skin became dry and flaky, my mood was up and down, I had no energy at all, being a 32 years female,this was not how I imagined I would be feeling. So, after endless test results my GP said that there is nothing wrong with me. Untill the day I paid private doctor and did private blood test, I have been told that my Ferritin can be the reason why in the past two years I have been feeling the way I did. So i got this for my daughter , she's always has anemia and all these iron pills from the doctor makes her sick . I saw these on Amazon then i found the website and I thought i will try. So she's been taking these for past 3 weeks ,she has more energy . No more naps ( she was soo tired she had to take a nap every afteroon ) her skin looks more healthy and I can't believe in these changes just after 3 weeks . I bought fish eggs , liver and tallow and I start taking for the past week so i will be reviewing these soon. I have IBS caused by SIBO and keeping my iron/ferritin up is a constant battle. Recently after another detox/cleanse my ferritin crashed down to 3 and my aching legs, air hunger and crazy heavy periods returned. I had used the SPLEEN product before and had great results and this time round it did the trick too. I took 6 tablets a day fro 1 month and symptoms improved quickly. I need a ferritin level of 30 to have surgery and thus contacted Ancestral Supplements to see if there is anything else I can add to get me there faster. BRILLIANT customer support and according to their recommendation I can up the number of spleen tablets and also add the LIVER (maybe also BOOD VITALITY). Will report back next month. So grateful for this company and their products.
