I can say that I have owned a few phone cases during the years, but Otter I think it’s one of the best in terms of phone cases.All my family have otter cases for the phones, and we are very happy, strong and reliable and most important, keeps the phone like new even after a few years.

Was a gift

I bought one of these nearly four and a half years ago for my Iphone SE and have been most impressed. So impressed in fact, I've bought another! I've dropped my phone numerous times, dropped heavy things on it, handled it with oily hands, it's been through mud, snow, sand, puddles, hay, swarf, flour... and besides going through a few screen protectors (I've been using the Minotaur ones) the phone has stayed in tip top shape - it's just been a really excellent purchase! The front face is rubbery and this has worn over time, eventually thin enough to split around the penetrations (in year 3 or 4), superglue did seem to work for a time, but a teething toddler took care of the rest. Given that most probably don't plan to keep their phones quite this long, I think this review should give some confidence!As for the questions asked: Does it work with a magnetic phone holder? Yes, though with mixed success, I have the Syncwire mount and I've found it does work, but due to the thickness of the case and the size of the metal plate, you have to be fairly accurate otherwise it does fall off. Generally happy though. Does it cover charger port? No, all switches, buttons and ports are served by an open penetration and cause no restriction. I think you're after the defender series cover if you want to fully encapsulate your phone.

Have been living with this case for a few months now and I'm impressed. The OtterBox bar for quality has always been high in my experience and this case is no exception.When I bought an iPhone X I started with Apple's official case, but had barely had it a year before the silicone finish began to chip and peel away, exposing the hard plastic. I also never felt that this case adequately protected my phone and £40 was very expensive, particularly since it lasted barely a year. Thankfully Apple gave me a refund and this time I went to OtterBox instead.The case snaps on to the phone quickly and easily and provides access to all speakers, microphones, buttons and ports. I haven't had an issue with plugging accessories into the lightning port – the case provides some additional space around the port (around 2mm to front and 4mm to back and sides) but wouldn't accommodate chunkier cables or accessories. I use the case with a Belkin wireless charging pad overnight and it works flawlessly through the case.I've seen no marks or signs or wear and tear so far, and the case is pleasant to hold and use. The back is a hard textured plastic and the front is a very hard silicon with barely any flex – nice and study. There's space around the camera on the back which makes the case suitable for both iPhone X and XS I believe. The silicon at the top or the front is also sheared away slightly to avoid interference with the camera and Face ID sensors in the notch.Overall, the case is of a high quality and fit-for-purpose, which is what I'd expect from OtterBox. If you're serious about protecting your iPhone (which you should be given its cost) I wouldn't hesitate to go for this case or this brand.

As much as I should change my reviewing habits; as it is I only tend to write one if a product or service has dissapointed me - and not if said product/ service has been either as it should be, or better.Having received my brand new Otterbox case today, I felt I had to let everybody know just how great it is!As is the smart thing to do, I spent a fair amount of time searching for a case that met my needs and seemed worth the price. I finally stumbled upon Otterbox whom I know to be a reputable brand.While they do offer cases that come with a built in screen protector, I felt them slightly too bulky for my particular needs (that's not to say that they don't do a great job for those in need of that extra dimension of protection). This case is slightly more slimming for the phone, but does require a screen protector to be purchased separately for a full sense of security.Upon ordering, the case arrived quickly and was well packaged. It was really easy to get the phone into the case and once it is on, I can tell you that it fits brilliantly and has zero give. It gives the phone a sense of style and a comfortable grip, and it's easy to tell the phone is well protected should it be dropped. The case has a sturdiness about it that oozes quality and makes me very glad to have spent that little bit extra. The cut outs are precise, the buttons feel great to click and the case in general just looks great without compromising on security.Considering the looks, quality and form factor I would say that this case would be extremely hard to beat. While the proof is in the pudding (that is, dropping the phone and letting it take a knock before knowing exactly how well it is protected), I have to say that this case is pretty much flawless and I would not hesitate to recommend it.My girlfriend is getting a new iPhone in August and she will definitely be receiving one of these cases from me for it.
