Is this the type of mask i should use before or after washing my hair with shampoo?

The packaging says organic, no animal testing, no sulphates, silicone, parabens, artificial fragrance, colour or oil but it doesn't say vegan. Bounce, Jessicurl, Inahsi Naturals, Curl Smith and innersense are some of the vegan natural hair brands I'm aware of

Does this contain protein

Yes, Certified Organic Hydrolyzed Soy Protein and Certified Organic Coconut Oil but these are quite low down the ingredients list so use without heat if you are concerned about breakage due to protein sensitivity. Mielle organics have a protein free deep conditioner if you want to avoid protein altogether. the Shea Moisture black caster oil mask is protein rich if that is what you are looking for.

Nice smell

Used it for the first time last night. I let my hair absorb the mask for 25 minutes and rinsed it. The smell is very nice and gentle like a blueberry cake. It is a bit pricey and the package is not very big but I will purchase again.

curls tm can be quite pricey but it’s one of the actual curl brands that feels like it actually nourishes my hair, better than camille rose, mielle, shea moisture and cantu ( i’ve tried them all mutiple times and curls is on top)

I like that this is cruelty free. Has a nice light scent. It didn't do anything to my hair, it looks and feels the same unfortunately.
