This product is perfect! Really good quality made of metal rather than plastic like other cages. The build quality is amazing comes with the screws to mount your ssd. Currently installed in my iMac and working perfectly

I bought some 2.5" SSD drives to replace my 3.5" working disks for audio and video. The old drives had been fitted in an expensive Thunderbolt 4-drive bay/enclosure which I didn't want to lose and it was recommended I buy some adapter plates to secure them in the bay. But the cheap ones I bought were really meant for lose/free cable SATA connectors to plug onto, maybe as on a PC motherboard - though this wasn't clear from the description. So when fitted to these plates my new drives wouldn't line up with the fixed SATA connectors in the bay, so I had to try these instead. I can't praise these enough. Dead easy to fit. Plug and play and I would think these should work with any 2.5" drive into any 3.5" drive bay, caddy, enclosure or motherboard. Not quite as cheap but cheaper than making the mistake I did.

Quality product, sturdy and easy to install

I installed an SSD a few years back, which sped up my Mac Pro 2010 5,1 significantly over the original 1Tb hard disk. However, like many I just left it "dangling" in one of the 3.5" bays for a while. Bought this kit, installed the 2.5" SSD onto this adaptor, attached this adaptor into a Mac Pro 3.5" bay sled, and slid it into one of the 3.5" drive bays where it fitted and works perfectly. Recommended. Seems nicely made and would no doubt fit many other systems too.

I bought this item for an iMac 27" 2019 HDD to SSD conversion. I can't speak highly enough of this product - absolute precision made, lightweight metal and pefect in every way! Not cheap but you get what you pay for!

I had been looking for a mount to fit a new 2.5 SSD into my Alienware X51, replacing the old 3.5 HDD. Unlike most tower PC's and larger cases the X51 is quite compact and the SATA connection is fixed to the case. This means that the mount cannot be centrally aligned or too large/bulky. This product was perfect as the SSD fitted perfectly, the mount fitted into the cage and the right alignment of the SATA connection meant no modification was needed.

My father's HP All-in-one PC was struggling and rather than replacing the whole machine, I opted to upgrade the old and slow mechanical hard disk with a nice fast SSD. Only problem was that the machine had a custom caddy which carried 3.5" hard disks, not the 2.5" form factor of SSDs. I probably could have bodged something but give the the relatively low cost of this, I opted to go for the 'proper' tidy option. It worked beautifully and the caddy doesn't know the difference. The PC now feels like a new machine and runs very well after a relatively economical upgrade rather than buying a whole new machine.

Es un buen producto aunque sea un poco más caro que los demás. Si tratta di un adattatore per installare un hard disk da 2,5" nello spazio e sui supporti di un disco classico da 3,5". Interfaccia sata. Prodotto solido e ben costruito, svolge bene il suo compito. Usato per aggiornare un iMac rimpiazzando il vecchio HD da 3,5" meccanico-magnetico con un nuovo ssd Crucial, ha svolto benissimo il ruolo per cui era stato acquistato. Arriva dotato anche di un set di viti per bloccare il disco da 2,5" nel supporto. Inoltre lo spessore esiguo (che però non inficia la solidità) consente una maggiore versatilità nell'installazione in ogni contesto. Consigliato.

Ich habe in meinem IMAC MID 2011 die 500GB HD Festplatte gegen eine SSD Samsung 850 Pro 512GB ausgetauscht. Dieses war für mich der Weg mit dem geringsten Hardware Umbauaufwand am IMAC. Der Austausch der Hardware alleine dauert keine 1/2 Stunde. Der NewTech Drive Converter wirkt sehr hochwertig verarbeitet und ist aus Metall, die SSD Samsung 850 Pro passt perfekt darauf und wird mit den mitgelieferten Kreuzschrauben darauf befestigt, alles wirkt sehr solide und professionell, perfekter Sitz, nichts wackelt. Der Einbau in den IMAC stellte kein Problem dar, die IMAC Anschlusskabel der HD passen ebenfalls genau für den Drive Converter. Vorgehensweisen zum IMAC HD Tausch (öffnen des IMAC und Durchführung des Tausches) findet man diverse im Internet. Von der alten HD werden auf der einen Seite zwei Führungsstifte (eingeschraubt) zur Einsteckfixierung des Converter Rahmens übernommen, sowie von der anderen Seite der HD eine Befestigungsschiene (verschraubt) zum festschrauben des Converter Rahmens im IMAC. Der Converter passt perfekt, würde ich bei Bedarf sofort wieder kaufen.
