Purchased this on recommendation for coloured pencil artwork. Takes bit of getting used to when layering colours on top of each other

A great quality surface to use for realistic colour pencil drawing. A real shame about the packing, only packed in its own plastic film with a label on! The corners of the paper arrived damaged! Would not buy this paper from Amazon again due to the inability to package adequately!

It was fine

Nice paper but this is NOT White. It's more like a creamy beigy colour. Very misleading, I now have to spend another £35 getting actual white paper.

My favourite paper.I like to create my own texture, so I always use hot pressed paper. This is great for watercolour, pen and ink and acrylics used thinly. The extra white gives pictures an extra brilliance and it is perfect for fine detailed work.

This is good paper but not quite as good as the cold press ‘not’ watercolour paper in this brand. However this is more than adequate for using coloured pencils in fine work like realistic art and it’s nice to have a solid pad rather than a thin booklet style.

I create pen ink and watercolour paintings, and LOVE this paper. It's smooth enough for the pen and ink work, but has enough tooth for watercolour. The reason I gave it four stars is that the paper lifts off the block when using watercolour. The edges are supposed to stay on the block, eliminating the need to stretch the paper. However, typically 25% of the edge has lifted by the time I'm finished, and often the next two or three sheets have already started to lift. I do work wet-in-wet, but not right up to the edges. I tried the Arches hot pressed block, and that stayed on the block perfectly till the end, but the paper is a bit too smooth. I much prefer the Fabriano paper. I'm considering buying Fabriano paper and stretching it myself, rather than buying the block.

This is by far my favourite watercolour paper. I try to use it all the time. The paint slides on so smoothly and any spills are easy removed without disturbing the quality surface of the paper. I love it!!! Thankyou Viv

J'utilise ce papier pour l'aquarelle : je trempe complètement ma feuille dans l'eau. Pour cette technique, la qualité du papier me convient parfaitement.

This is absolutely excellent, 100% cotton paper that is as smooth as could be. It's not only great for watercolors, but I find that I love it for pencil sketching because it erases fully when an error is made, and no mark is left. Blending with a kneaded eraser is a dream on this paper. I love it for both purposes. It isn't quite as white and bright as other papers I've seen and worked with, but the fact that it's hot pressed and so smooth makes up for it. I recommend this paper to anyone who wants a fine satiny finish to their paper.
