Yup, it’s a fuel filter that meets the specs (well it says it does) and fits 6/7l Cummings in Ram
It’s a fuel filter that fits as spec’d. No way to, or inclination to test spec’d level of filtering, but includes necessary o-ring. Box was sealed in plastic to keep the filter clean while it rode around behind the seat to the truck. Easy to install (well, other than the bad design of the cummins housing in the Ram, but that’s not the filter’s fault).

A MUST purchase for the 2010 Ram 6.7 Cummins diesel
Normally I'm not an OEM parts Nazi. However, in this particular case I originally purchased a cross-reference alternative from a Car Quest dealer and after removing the original filter and physically comparing it directly against the aftermarket filter I noticed that the two filters looked nothing alike. I also noticed that the inside bottom lip of the OEM filter had an oval shape that mates to a similar oval shape inside the bottom of the filter housing (I'm not kidding). The aftermarket filter was just plain round. I couldn't help but wonder about unfiltered fuel leaking in around the bottom of the filter and clogging the fuel injectors (and possibly destroying my turbo). So I decided to put the old (dirty) filter back in and wait for the Amazon purchase to arrive. The new filter was an EXACT match to the original. The Car Quest parts guy swears by the cross-reference and says he has had no complaints... but I still wonder. The box this filter came in said it fits the "2010 Dodge Ram 6.7L" (only). It does not state that it fits the 2011 or 2012 as some other reviewers have stated. I would definitely call a dealer to get the exact part number before ordering for the 2011 or 2012 RAM.Please note you will need a 1-1/8" socket to remove the filter (yes, a 1-1/8" SAE socket, no metric equivalent). A big crescent wrench won't work because there are three plastic flanges surrounding the socket head which force you to use a socket. Do not over tighten! The filter housing is marked "30 Nm" (newton meters) which converts to 22 foot pounds (meaning very lightly tightened because it's a plastic housing with a rubber gasket, not a lug nut). I use a torque wrench. Also note that when you crack open the valve to drain the fuel, it takes quite a while to drain. The first time I changed the filter I was impatient and pulling out the old filter quickly created a vacuum that sucked up the remaining fuel and spilled it all over the garage floor.

Cheaper than dealer.

Super easy to install
I installed this filter on my 2011 Cummins. Was very easy. I ran a hose from the one that comes off the fuel filter so it could reach the bottom of the truck. This allowed me to drain all the diesel out of the canister without dripping any diesel all over the diff. Beyond that just use a 1 1/8 inch socket with an array of swivel extensions and you’ll be set.

Mopar FTW
I cannot recommend enough to not go cheap and buy the Wix fuelfilter for your 6.7l cummins. I've done the experimenting for you and trust em. After changing back to the Mopar fuel filter after 7k miles. Duke runs better.

Perfect fit for 2012 Ram 2500 Cummins
Fit great and pretty easy to replace. Took a while for me to get the cap off the filter housing. If you can get a long enough extension to stick out of engine bay I'd highly recommend it, was a pain fitting the ratchet in and trying to turn, only have a small space to play with. But when the cap was off it was easy from there. Swap out the filters O-Ring and you're good. You need a 1 n 1/8 socket. Everything worked out in the end with this filter. Cheaper of course to do it yourself and easy enough. Get a hose to extend your fuel drain hose or it will get everywhere. After you drain housing, when you remove the old filter more fuel will come out so be ready for that.
