Are the brackets made out of aluminum?

Yes, the brackets are aluminum. I’ve had the mirror mounted in my enclosed trailer for three or four years now and the brackets look great and have held up well.

I will need some sort of post to hold the mirror. Will it attach to a post? Is a U-channel post best, or would another kind of post be better?

Once mounted is the mirror adjustable up and down as well as side to side?

Yes, of course. You have to let the adjusting screws loose and once you find the right angle you have to fix them.

Can the mounting bracket turn the mirror left or right at least 90 Degrees or more ?

I can move mine in all directions, left, right, up, down in at least 45-50 degrees depending on how you mount it. It may go 90 degrees but I never tried it because I only needed 45 degrees. It all depends on what angle you are trying to see around.
