Vitakraft Canary Egg & Honey Treat Sticks 2 Pack, 1.4 Ounce

My canary loved it! The only thing that was wrong with it, it broke apart very easy. But still my bird eat every piece!

My bird loves this product, but the last shipment we received, most of the seed fell off 3 sticks and was in the bottom of the bag!

It's getting hard to find treat sticks for canaries. Sun Seed makes a nice one and Kaytee used to, but I couldn't find either (amazon vendors seem to sell the Sun Seed version only in entire cases) so I decided to try these. Unlike the others that are larger and mainly seeds, this one has a thick wooden rod center, coated with a dense, batter-like food (maybe it's supposed to be egg-biscuit material, but it's harder) with a moderate amount of seeds mixed in or stuck on.Some of my canaries ate all the food, but with lots of the hard crumbs breaking off and falling through the cage grate below, but other birds only picked off the exposed seeds and left the rest. As such, they don't last very long. What I liked best about the other brands was that in addition to being a good enrichment food, they doubled as handy "vacation" food. If I had to be gone for a three day weekend, hanging one of the other treat sticks insured a reliable food source should the birds somehow kick the regular seed from their dishes. (I use multiple water bottles per cage to make sure water isn't an issue, either.)So, to some it up, these are "OK" and well priced, but not exactly what I would prefer.

My canaries are divided up in three cages and I like to give them treats occasionally. These VitaKraft sticks are perfect without going overboard. My canaries are always pleased when I add one of these to their cage and can’t wait to get picking at them. I also like the way they are two to a package. I usually purchase more than a few packages and like having the rest of them sealed to stay fresh.

This was a good treat for my canary. He picks on it frequently. It was easy to hang on the cage.

when received they were all in pieces..terrible..

My bird very like it. One thing is suppose to be little harder make it,so is not fall down so quick.
