MG Collection Howea Gothic Studded Doctor Shoulder Bag

I am super hard to convince when it comes to making purchases more than $2.99. The last bag I bought I spent ten dollars on and after two weeks it was falling apart. I vowed not to make the same mistake and was being urged by people I know to buy a leather bag because they are so durable. The idea of leather bothers me. So I was resigned to find a bag, well under fifty dollars, that is worth well over fifty dollars, one that fits all of my heavy things for school, can handle being used for travel, and is cute.This bag is all of these things thus far. The shoulder strap is a life saver and I suggest carrying it in your bag even if you don't plan on using it. Where I live grocery bags aren't given, you HAVE to buy them, and woe upon you if your forget a shopping bag. This bag will fit all the crap you need and don't need, but the shoulder strap helps with the weight. I do wish the smaller double straps were a bit larger, I am not a small woman and they don't sit on my shoulder comfortably. One other minor thing I wish were different is the pockets. This bag comes with two open pockets on the inside (presumably for a cell phone and a few other items that need easy access) and a zipper pocket. Everything I need to fit in them does fit, but I am an organization FREAK and love love love LOVE pockets and compartments. If there weren't so many amazing reviews on this bag I wouldn't have bought it.I think I have rambled enough already, This bag has been enduring the busy life of a college student who has the bag packed full from 8am til 5pm, it has been on public transportation, and thrown in the trunk and back seat of the car. And it is still in flawless condition.Besides its durability it is also ADORABLE, in a very glitzy rock way. I was complimented the very first day I wore it out.Anyways, this review boils down to BUY IT! It is worth it, and this is coming from a cheapskate who puts her bags through hell!

This bag is absolutely stunning! It definitely exceeded my expectations. It is made very well and very sturdy. I’m hard on my bags and after a year of carrying this almost every day it still looks new. It has a lot of room inside and it’s comfortable to carry. I have a lot of bags and many high end bags but I have to say this bag is definitely in my top three best bags I’ve owned. I would highly recommend it and it would make a beautiful gift. I can’t say enough about this bag.

I just received this handbag (on time and well packaged I might add) and I already adore it. I chose this bag partially because of all of the positive reviews it received regarding quality and beauty. A few of the complaints I read was that the bag had a "fishy" smell upon opening, that it slouched instead of stood up straight, it was heavy, the adjustable strap was tough to adjust, and the handles were too small to wear on your shoulder. MY experience thus far is that the bag does NOT have an offensive odor upon opening, and although the handles ARE small there is a adjustable strap that is included that can be adjusted for shoulder wear, I also did NOT have a problem adjusting the strap. As far as weight goes if one considers the size of the bag along with all the metal-ware on it I'd say the bag is rather light (but perhaps I'm used to carrying heavy bags). If there IS room for improvement what I see (and this is the reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5) is the slouching. Of course one could look at this from two angles. If you were to mainly carry this with the small handles then the slouching can be a real problem. However, if you are the type of person to prefer over the shoulder or across the chest with the bag hung low, a firm bag would be too cumbersome to cart around. Overall I do think that a bit more firmness would be wise simply because it will cut down on wear and tear due to creasing. I hope to get many years of wear out of this bag it really is unique.

I am not a terribly girly girl but when I saw this I had for the first time in my life a moment of "OMG I MUST HAVE THAT BAG." and boy is it worth it. I paid about 35 dollars for this purse and it is easily the most awesome bag I have ever owned. I like that it has an adjustible, convertible strap, that is very convenient. The fabric inside is nice and thick. The construction is solid, the leather is soft. I did notice two rhinestones not perfectly set, on the very very edge of the skull, but you know, its a 35 dollar purse... and no one but me will ever see them. And the size is perfect. I use a full size uncalendar day planner and it the whole 8x11ish notebook fits in this bag, with tons of room to spare... but its not so huge that it looks like a hobo bag or anything. Its pretty much the perfect size for me. Holds all my essentials and some extra stuff. I get compliments on the design whenever I go out too. The only issue I had was that the convertible strap is a little narrow for the size of bag it is.... so if I load up the bag with all my heavy a$$ stuff then the strap puts some pressure on my shoulder after a while. This is not a big issue, and probably not an issue at all for most people... I live downtown in a city and walk everywhere and after 2 hours of walking I will start to feel some uncomfortableness in my shoulder. But other than that, with normal usage, its never a problem... like if I take it to class or work or out to eat it is never an issue since its not on my shoulder that long.
