Sidecca Retro 1950s Polka Dot Smock Swing Dress-Plus Size

This fress is a perfect fit for me! I am 6' and usually a size 16. I ordered a size 2x.

Super cute dress! I really like the way it fits, and it hids all my rolly bits. Unintentional rhyme.... Anyway, I normally wear a 16/18 in dresses and I purchased the XXL. The only thing I don't like is that the polka dots are screen printed on, so I will take care in washing it.

I'm returning it, but I think it's a really cute dress. I got the purple one, for what it's worth. I'm a US size 10-12 in dresses, 34H, wide shoulders, narrower hips, big thighs, and got the XL. It is definitely the right size, but the dress does a really weird thing over my bust. Something about the way it's gathered is just off, such that it's creating a poof of material right between my breasts, kind of the effect I'd expect if I stuffed a dishtowel between my breasts, but it's not that it's just too big (even aside from the fact that as a 34H, I've never encountered a dress that was too roomy up top). It really just seems like it's sewn wrong into the elastic either at the top or at the waist. I tried adjusting the position of the shoulders and wiggling it around in various ways, none of which did anything helpful. Maybe if you have more of a shelf-y chest vs two rounded breasts, this would work better.

This dress is wonderful! It was as described, fit as expected, and the material is light [which is nice because I live in Florida].First, I am a 3x [the higher end of 3x]. And I am also busty. This dress fit like a glove and actually accentuated my "curves" while hiding the tummy!I will say if you are busty it will be a little snug in the top and cut down a little lower. No problem though, I bought one of those cami-bras and it can peek out [see picture] and still look good, like it is part of the dress.]IF you are on the larger end of a 3x size and you like things to hand a little looser, I would go ahead and order the 4x however.I ordered the blue dress, and it is vivid blue [sorry the picture shows it lighter. I had a filter on]. I love this dress because I can dress it up or down. I've worn it out shopping and I've worn it to church. I've gotten so many compliments on it, especially how it is slimming.For the inexpensive price, this is well worth it! A great everyday dress OR a great party dress!

I am not a girly dress person, nor am I a polka dot person. It's also very difficult to find attractive dresses that suit my ample frame. I must have been in a mood to buy this from the internet. However, this dress is surprisingly cute on the hanger and looks amazing on. It has an empire waist, which I don't normally wear, but the skirt is full enough that it's not binding at all through the waist and hips. The neckline is not too low, and the sleeves cover regular bra straps. It's surprisingly easy to wear. Though the tag says hand wash, I washed it when I got it on the cold "hand wash" cycle in my washer and let it hang dry. The light cotton material dried nicely without ironing, but ironing would make the dress look very nice. I am pretty sure I am going to order another in an additional color now that I've tried this one.

When I say it fits as expected, that is going by my measurements. Pay attention to the sellers measurements, NOT the Amazon chart. This is a super cute dress and fits me nicely. I'm a size 16 with a very full bust 40F, and the 2xl fits me very well. I ordered a crinoline to go with it which makes it adorable. The crinoline I ordered could be fuller so order a really full crinoline if you want that super puffy look!My only complaint about this dress is the fact that it's pure cotton and doesn't flow overly well. But I really like it. I'd recommend it!

I love this dress. It's flattering. It's polka dot. It's beautiful in person. However, I had to smoosh my boobs down to get into this dress. I was hoping it would be an easy, breezy summer dress I could wear to church. Um...no. Way to much cleavage. I tried wearing it backwards but, for some reason, it looked crooked on my back. Please make a larger size, Sidecca. I promise I will buy more!

Dress too small. 3X was more like an XXL...not even like a woman's 2X. I would not recommend this to anyone over a size 18 and be warned it is a stiff material that does not flow or swing. Not great quality fabric. This would be basically okay for a costume.
