Darice 24" Canadian Pine Artificial Christmas Wreath - Unlit

I purchased the 30" wreath for around $15 with free Prime shipping. It arrived quickly and in good condition. Initially, the wreath looks far less impressive than it appears in the product description... It reminded me of buying a new down pillow: It arrives kinda smashed and requires a good deal of shaping and fluffing to reach it's maximum potential.In the end, I was very pleased with the result, but it definitely took some work to get it how I wanted it to look.Here's what I did to prep it for decoration:1) I began by straightening out all of the tips and directed them out from the center (see Photo #1).2) Next, I curled the tips up (see Photo #2). I did this by fluffing up each tip and adding a slight curl to the end. I carefully shaped each bough as I went through. This added more dimension and texture as well as covered up any exposed wire or bald spots.Tip: Use less curl on the exterior tips as this will minimize loss of width.3) After each tip was curled, I straitened them out again, but not all the way. This left essentially fluffed it up (see Photo #3).4) Finally, to make the wreath more voluminous, I increased the curl in select spots. I performed this last because at this point I could tell which areas were more scant, and which ones could afford more texture. To some extent, you have to choose between volume and width.Once I was finished, I found it very easy to decorate. The volume makes it possible to conceal all of the pipe cleaners I used to attach the multiple ribbons and artificial pointsettas. I was able to wrap sheer and satin ribbons around the diameter and tie them to the back wires without any knots showing. Overall, this is an excellent quality wreath, especially for the price. With proper storage, I suspect it will last many years.Now to the million dollar question: Does the wreath look like the product picture in real life? Not quite. The image shows a tiny center. In reality, there isn't enough volume to achieve this effect without creating scant spots (at least not with the wreath I received). However, I personally don't like that look as I prefer a wider hollow diameter in the center, so it wasn't an issue for me.

I ordered this wreath for a craft project. I was looking for the cheapest wreath I could find since I would be covering it with tiny glitter houses, tiny lights and tiny trees and you would not see too much of the wreath itself. I was actually surprised by the quality,I thought it was very nice for the price I paid. The "branches" are wire so you are able to bend them where you need them to go and it's on a thick wire ring that feels very sturdy. We've had it up all winter and hasn't shed any fake pine needles. I'm hoping after it's been stored for a year it looks just as good next season.

This is a case of "you get what you pay for" I think. I must say, however, that the photo in the ad on Amazon showing the full wreath was a bit deceptive, IMO. I worked for 30 minutes trying to pull out all of the bent in (for shipping) ends so the wreath would be 24 inches and look semi-full and lifelike, and it still is pretty pathetic unless you are 10-15 feet away. To touch and work with this wreath is easy, but the material used for the greenery is very thin (read "cheap") and not nearly as heavy and dense and life-like as a wreath I bought here last year for my other door. It even has lights. I think I paid no more than $35-38.00 for it! So, I did the best I could, but I should have shelled out another $15. and hoped for a heavier, fuller wreath. I will, of course, use this, but I was really amazed at how (as others have said who did not give it 4-5 stars), it is cheaply made and very lightweight. I am not sure what the greenery is made of, but it is very flimsy. If they put 20% more of the greenery into the wreath it might look better, but for even what I paid I think it looks very anemic and fake.

To find a wreath this size and with the versatility of arrangement and structure you would have to pay $50 elsewhere and especially if it had any decorations on it whereas here you get to arrange the wreath the way you want to Adorn at and for whatever occasion which means it is versatile for every occasion! When Easter comes I might do bunnies and when Fourth of July comes OMG! And heaven forbid I ever need a wreath if I lose a friend or family member. Christmas is definitely my intention for this wreath but the versatility cannot be purchased. I love it and it is very easy to arrange and decorate. The needles bend very easy. I may use twist ties in the color green or use a green marker if I have white twist ties to hold strings of beads possibly jewelry, a couple of pinecones and Bows which are all in my Christmas decorations. Have fun!

Good product for the price. I get a kickout of the reviews that say “it didn’t looklike the picture”. Seriously? Obviously you haven’t had artificial evergreen items before; thay’re always smushed and mangled and need to be fluffed and straightened out. Especially for this price; you’re getting something that is massed-produced, mashed into a package by some kid in a foreign country, and given a rough ride halfway around the world. For the price, these are actually very nice. They are pretty typical for artificial evergreens, they have a decent look, and can be fluffed out and shaped to look fairly full. The outer diameter, when fluffed out, is right around 24”. The inside diameter varies on howyou want to shape the wreath, but you can easily get it to the thickness shown in the product photo. They have two inner wire rings to hold the tips, which give the wreath good structure. Mine weren’t squished, like other reviewers have experienced; they were completely round. I use these out on the front windows of the house for the holidays,and they seem to fit the bill. You’ll have to attach mounting hooks, bows, etc., but for the price you can’t go wrong as a goodstarting point for an outside wreath that will take a beating.

This is the first time I will try to return something from ordering online. Product looks nothing like the description or the picture.
