Charles Hubert 3816-W Dual Time Mechanical Pocket Watch

I BOUGHT THIS WATCH OVER A YEAR AGO. IT HAS NOT GIVEN ME ANY PROBLEMS. IT IS VERY GOOD LOOKING AND I AM ALWAYS GETTING COMPLEMENTS ABOUT HOW GOOD LOOKING IT IS.

I bought this watch for my husband's birthday. It is just what he wanted. It is a timeless piece that I hope will last him for years. Thanks!

Purchased this pocket watch for my husband for his 30th birthday/graduation, and was very let down in its quality. I read the few posts that said their watch arrived missing certain hands and not working, but was hopeful that it was a situation that was not common. The first arrived with no second hand at all....not broken off or not working, but the entire watch was put together with it not being included at all. Customer service with Amazon was great and had a new watch in my hand the very next day. 35 days later, the watch all of the sudden stopped keeping time, losing 5 minuets for every 20 on both the time zone and roman numeral displays. The second hand was the only hand continuing to keep time at a regular pace. The watch is beautiful, more so then then the photographs, but an overpriced piece of junk. We could not have been more disappointed in what happened with this watch as is was a gift for a very important occasion. Amazon is now refunding the purchase price and we will research and purchase are better quality watch. Not made in Hong Kong as with extensive searching, turns out where Charles Hubert's 10 year old company is based.

This is a beautiful watch, but it was not very solid. It was working when it was delivered. I read the directions, carefully wound it and stopped at the first bit of resistance.It was broken within 12 hours of giving it to the recipiant. The recipiant had it by itself in a vest pocket and the first time he took it out to check the time, all movement had stopped. The watch was wound, but was completely still.After that the watch went between periods of working and stopping over the next day. I decided to return it. Kudos to Amazon Customer Service for making the return process so easy and answering my questions about the process!I loved the look of this pocketwatch, but it broke my heart that it wasn't more functional.

every time the watch got to 10:00 (am or pm) it hung up. the mechanism was still active but the minute and hour hands stopped turning. i sent the watch back to charles hubert over 2 weeks ago but, haven't heard back as yet.

What a beautiful watch!! I bought it as a Christmas gift for my son and he LOVED it!! Until the second hand fell off shortly after taking it out of the box! Really?! I should have listened to he other reviews before I bought it. Also, Amazon's exchange policy doesn't include this watch, so I couldn't even exchange it for a new watch even though it was clearly a manufacturer defect. IMHO, it's just not worth what you pay for the watch. Move along and find one with a better track record.

Received this pocket watch as a gift years ago, and nothing on it has ever broken. Pocket watches are not toys, its a mechanical instrument for keeping time, and if you don't wind it up properly you can easily break the fragile mechanisms within. This pocket watch is great if you've always wondered the mystery inside that makes it all work. The back is a fully open glass window, giving you a viewing platform to the spinning dials inside. Special tip: To wind the watch properly turn the crown clockwise, 30-40 half-turns. To set the time pull the crown up and push back down when set.This pocket watch displays 12 hour time in Roman numerals. The center of the clock-face displays 24 hour time in regular numbers. And three other smaller circular clocks surround the 24/hr clock, which are; minutes, seconds and a sun and moon flip clock. Order directly from Charles-Hubert to avoid getting cheap remakes that arrive broken.
