Fantastic watch, particularly for monitoring energy limiting conditions
Heads up, this is a LONG detailed review. But to sum up, this watch is absolutely ideal if you have small wrists and want to monitor your health and triggers, particularly if you have an energy limiting condition or POTS. I haven't had any of the problems other reviewers have mentioned...as of yet. I've been wanting a smart watch for quite some time in order to monitor and record my health stats, sleep and for notifications from my phone. I tried on some of the more popular ones, including Samsung, Fitbit, Google and also had a cheaper non branded version, which was the same size as the Apple watch, however I felt that they were all too bulky on my small wrists for me to be able to tolerate wearing consistently, especially overnight. I then came across this watch. At 35mm it was quite a bit smaller than the 41mm sizes that the Samsung and Google watches came in, so I felt that this would be my best option. I've had the watch around a month now and have been wearing it consistently, including every night, and so far, I'm really impressed. Positives: - It's comfortable to wear all day and sleep in - It looks good on my small wrist - The heart rate and SpO2 measurements are accurate, as I measured these against my pulse oximeter, which I also know to be accurate as I recently compared it to the ECG monitor during a cardiology appt and it gave the same results. - I like the Garmin app, I find it very user friendly and customisable to my own needs. - The sleep tracking seems mostly accurate and is providing some good insight. - I like the stress tracker, which measures HRV, and is important for me to monitor as I suffer with M.E. This is also showing some good insight into my triggers throughout the day. When it notices that you're highly 'stressed' it will then prompt you to do a 5 minute breathing exercise to bring down your HRV, which again I've found really useful. - It has a 'body battery' function which, depending on your sleep quality and I think potentially your stress/HRV levels, tells you how much energy you have left in your tank to give for the day/rest of the day. Again I've found this useful as I have an energy limiting condition. It takes a few weeks for this to start reporting and be accurate as it wants to monitor your stats first to work out your baseline. - At the end of each day it asks you, via the app, to record your 'behaviours' under lifestyle logging, and again these can be customised so that you can monitor different triggers to your health etc. - It monitors your menstruation cycle. - It can monitor your water intake via the watch itself. Initially I found this helpful but unfortunately after about 7-10 days I started to forget to log this. - You can log your blood pressure. This needs to be taken manually, the watch does not do it for you, but it can be logged via the app to keep track of it, if needed for medical reasons, so all your health stats are in one place. - The step counter seems very accurate and you can change your step goals at any time. It also alerts you when you have reached your goal. - It tells you your sleep quality on the watch each morning, as well as the weather and any events you've put in your calendar for the day. - It goes into sleep mode at a time which you can choose and then back into normal mode again at a time of your choosing. In sleep mode it turns off the screen and notifications so it does not wake you during the night. - The notifications via various apps on my phone are very handy, and you can pick and choose which notifications it displays on the watch by toggling on/off on the different apps via the Garmin app. I would regularly miss calls and texts when out and about as I wouldn't hear my phone in my bag, but now I feel a vibration on my wrist when these come through so I never miss them. - It comes with an emergency mode which you can add emergency contacts to. If you need help or assistance you tap 10 times on the watch face and it will activate that mode and send text messages to your emergency contacts to alert them that you may need assistance. - It has find my phone alert on it, which has proven useful when I've put my phone down somewhere indoors and can't find it! - It's lightweight and not at all bulky so I have gotten used to wearing it consistently without a problem. - I like the strap, it's like a silicone type material but looks leather. It's also easy to fasten independently. - The battery life on it seems pretty good. I get around 4-5 days out of it per full charge. Draw backs: - Whilst the sleep tracking seems to be mostly accurate, I have found a few times that it's said I was in REM sleep in the morning when actually I was up and feeding my cat! - The charger is a bit fiddly and annoying. The cheap non branded watch I had came with a magnetic charger which was much more user friendly. This one you have to clip onto the watch and you have to get the prongs in the exact right positioning. - It's a basic watch in a sense of that it does not come with a coloured dial, pictures, ECG, GPS, or things like Garmin Pay etc. The Lily 2 Active comes with GPS however. All in all, I'm very pleased with the watch. It does everything that I need it to do for monitoring my health and receiving notifications. I don't personally feel that I need any of the added extras that the bigger watches come with, as I either have these on my phone or I don't require them. You do need to play around with the app and settings to fully customise the watch to your individual needs, which I found fairly straight forward. It won't just do everything I've mentioned above straight out of the box. I haven't commented on the 'activities'/ sports modes as I have not used these due to health limitations. I would highly recommend this watch to anyone who has small wrists like mine and wants to track and monitor their health needs, particularly if you have conditions like M.E, Fibromyalgia, POTS etc.

Looks good and easy to use.
I already have a Garmin Forerunner that I love, but also wanted something smaller and more dressy looking for every day and this suits the bill well. Comfortable and smaller and lighter screen than any forerunner. Easy to set up, gives quick access to chosen activities. Some functions accessed via touch screen. Initially a little surprised that the display is not constant, so to see the time either accessed with gesture or screen tap, found this a little strange at first but not an issue now. it does mean that the battery lasts for days and days. Occasionally when wanting to start an activity I do have to switch he watch on and off again to access my saved activity list. overall very satisfied and like the it also stimulates me to move every hour on days when I am more focused on wok activities etc. overall a vey good purchase that meets the reason I made it.

Charging!
The watch is great and looks good but let down when we tried to charge it as the charging cable was not a standard USB. The cable you get needs a fast charger like new iPhone’s! All features are also great and happy with the watch apart from the charging.

Stylish and functional
This is a great quality and easy to use fitness/health tracker with excellent battery life compared to previous models. I love the comfort and Style and it has all the functionality and connectivity I need and the built in GPS is a bonus. And the screen size is perfect for what I need.

Love it
I've had it for a week and so far I am very happy with it. Battery lasts ages (haven't even charged it yet and it's been a week). It's user friendly and very easy to set up. You can personalised it (which notifications to show, how the notifications appear on screen etc) although the watch faces are quite limited. The strap can be changed and there are plenty of options online. I picked a metallic one as I thought it looked more elegant. The watch in general looks stylish to me and it's even hard to tell it's a smart watch as it looks a lot like a traditional watch which I love. I haven't tested it during workouts but it measures my steps and I get notifications to move when I sit down for long periods. Overall I'm very happy with it so far.

Disappointed
The heart rate monitor hardly ever works, very disappointing for a fitness watch. I'm constantly having to turn the watch off and on again and have factory reset it and nothing helps.

Great quality, very bulky
Got as upgrade from my garmin lily. Garmin pay is very limited with accepted banks to use garmin pay which is a real shame. It is a lot bulkier than the first lily which let's it down for me and feels less feminine and with a little wrist I feel it is a bit much. Pleased with watch quality, ease of setting up and the features. I will be keeping this watch as it has all the uses I want and is a lovely colour but my next upgrade will certainly need a smaller and slimmer face.

This is primarily a fitness tracker. It's not your fancy smart watch that can almost replace your phone! That being said - it is a great fitness tracker, but a bit expensive for not having the fancy UI (which - the grayscale face is what I like about it). Also, since I'm moderately active (not an athlete by any means but I do work out every single day) I bought this watch as a replacement for my 7 year old vivosmart HR. I chose this precisely because I didn't want all the bells and whistles of fancy smartwatches that just serve as another distraction in everyday life. Pros - doesn't have a square face. Looks like a normal watch! It's also not bulky, although it does say it's bulkier than the Lily 2 Classic (which I worried about but it's really not much of a difference) - connects with your phone via the Garmin Connect app, which you can sync with Strava, Be Well (formerly Walker Tracker), My Fitness Pal (two way syncing - it takes your weight and calories from MFP) - SEAMLESSLY synced with my existing Garmin app - it has GPS!! - stress and body battery tracking are actually quite useful. - includes breathwork exercises! And reminders to move throughout the day - and on top of that, also gives you example exercises and prompts like sitting exercises. I'm amazed that everytime it's a different chair activity / stretch exercise (my old watch just used to say "Move!"). Any watch prompts also come with a vibration so that you don't have to look down at your watch while doing breathwork or running or whatever activity you are trying to track. - you can split your Dance exercise into songs - the Garmin Connect app is really neat. (not so many users like Strava but it is great for your personal analytics) you can also customize what notifications go to your watch so that it not just buzzing constantly all day -there are also other features like blood pressure, weight etc that you can manually add to the app and track -it syncs with your calendar -the watch widgets (what you display on your watch face) and the watch face itself are customizable. -gives you a lot if tips and analysis about your day. Also gives a lot of encouragement during your workouts! -the GPS does drain the battery much faster, but even with that, the battery life still lasts over 5 days even when it didn't charge fully - it's really CUTE! Cons - wish it came in black too - if you were used to lower tech fitness tracker / smartwatch this one takes a bit of learning to learn all the motions (two buttons, a middle touch button, and swiping in four directions) and the features that correspond to them - the "manual" that comes with it is useless lol. Just tells you to go online (which - Garmin stuff online are useful) - software updates can take longer (couple minutes or so) - I haven't figured out how I can add the music controls to the UI for when it's recording a run - the recording of activities are sometimes needlessly specific, but kinda cool for your own recording I guess. For example, I just wanted to record Dance but I can also choose what type of dance it is (zumba, pop, afro beat, video game etc) - the very first time I wore it during a workout and I sweated, it gave me a bit of irritation but I'd attribute that to it's "newness" / VOCs just emanating from the straps since it's new and just came out of the box - proprietary charging cable (still USB C on the other side though) - the vibration is so light compared to the old vivosmart. All my important phone notifications go through my watch (since my phone is always silent) but even at max vibration it's easy to miss it. -compared to my last watch, this took longer to "wake up" when I look at it. Maybe takes half a second -Garmin recommends to wear it two finger widths below your wrist but I personally find that too low for watch-wearing Overall 5 stars for me - and like what others said, if you know exactly what you got it for, you will be happy about it. Otherwise if you are looking for fancy schmancy smart watch not for its fitness tracking but for its digital, hi tech features - this watch might not be the right one for you.

Awesome quality watch, has a lot of features that actually seem functional and not unnecessary while being fairly simple to use. Despite other reviews saying the app is hard to use/set up, I disagree and found it fairly straightforward. My only small issue is that it does have a “wallet” for tap and pay but isn’t compatible for Apple Pay. Other wise I love it and have gotten multiple compliments. I’ve been using it for months and only charge it every 3-4 weeks, and that’s using and wearing it every day! No issues with notifications either as long as you have the correct settings on. Overall would definitely recommend!
