DecoArt Americana Chalky Finish Paint 8oz, Carbon,Gray

I used this chalk paint to transform an old cabinet. The paint arrived sealed and in a plastic bag in case of a spill. The paint covered fabulously and smoothly. Definitely worth the money. I love the matte finish.

Bought this chalk paint in Home Depot a few years ago to refinish some furniture. It is excellent and goes on smooth with great coverage. HD no longer carries it though, at least not the on by me so I ordered through Amazon. Still the same great product but I was disappointed the paint came spilled out of the container.

After buying two cans of expensive black licorice color chalk paint by Shabby Chic I gave up as the coverage was quite poor and required multiple coats. So I tried this one and was pleasantly surprised. The paint is very thick and covers really well. You can get buy with one coat on most things and it dries very quickly. Beware that it is VERY chalky and really needs a coat of wax to finish your project. Unlike Shabby Chic which can be left as is after painting if you don't care for waxing your painted furniture, pass on this one. It's a very good value for the price.

Great product, fast delivery, great seller!

I bought this product initially to paint a credenza from target to better match my home decor style. After painting the credenza, I actually painted the legs of my glass top side tables and coffee table because the first project turned out so great! The product is extremely user friendly and simple to use. I did use a small amount of water in a cup after dipping my paintbrush into the paint on a few strokes on the credenza to clear up and minimize brushstrokes, but the strokes were minimal to begin with and having them appear less visible was a personal preference. I did use this in conjunction with the wax finish to better seal and protect the product and it turned out great. Will definitely buy this again for future projects.

Annie Sloan's chalk paint is the best in my opinion but sometimes $37 a liter can get pricey. I had a small job of table legs to paint so I ordered this chalk paint product. Annie's was smoother overall but this paint did a great job. I used two coats on the legs and sides of my wood table, they were a nice black matte finish and now it looks like a more modern, new piece of furniture. I love it and would recommend it for small jobs.

Great solid color, but very thick, so hard to spread. I ended up adding hot water to it when I am using it and find that doing so is very helpful. The color is great when it dries.

One coat was sufficient to paint 🎨

I purchased 3 jars of Carbon for 3 projects I had planned; a kitchen table redo, a tall boy dresser and a 6-drawer dresser I'm turning into a TV console, only using 4 drawers. My items shipped from two locations and I got one jar solo yesterday. I managed to paint both the tall boy dresser and the 6-drawer unit in a single coat with some remaining afterwards. I managed to use the rest to touch up some spots that had too much paint show though on the tall boy and the 4 drawers from the other unit.I'm still waiting on the other two jars and the wax to finish it, but I am extremely impressed with the coverage and the lack of prep required! I went with Carbon on a darker wood and a medium wood and the single coat would have been enough had I not been as conservative as I was.

This chalk paint is too lit pls , don’t hesitate to buy , I painted my dinning chairs ( leather fabric ) and the paint turned out so cool , value for money , great product

This paint is the best I’ve used for chalk paint mate finish. It’s very durable! Use it with wax from same brand. Wax is, as well, very good and easy as washing a table to apply.. Cannot be used without wax for a good finish.
