For people that get a softer texture than expected, I asked the company about that and this was their reply: Our cocoa butter is 100% pure; however, its texture can vary depending on its natural crystal structure. Cocoa butter can exist in different forms (polymorphs), and if it melts during processing or transit and then cools without controlled tempering, it can set into a softer, more pliable consistency rather than a firm, brittle one. Additionally, factors like origin of the beans, processing method and micro temperature changes during shipping can all influence how firm or soft it feels at the same room temperature. Even at room temperature cocoa butter that has not been tempered into a stable crystal form may remain soft or slightly mushy. This difference in texture does not indicate dilution or impurity—it’s still 100% cocoa butter and will perform the same in your formulations. If you prefer a firmer texture, you can gently melt and allow it to cool in a controlled, cooler environment (or briefly refrigerate) to help it set more solidly.

Seems a little soft but it was a good product. Easy to use. Used in skin care products. Definitely added moisture. Ingredients seemed accurate. Absorbed great on skin.

This has my skin so soft and there is no odor to this product. I seen results instantly. It lasts hours. I put it in at night and wake up to super soft skin all day. I don’t naturally have soft skin so I am very happy with this product. For me it’s better than shea butter.

I’ve been using this on my tattoos during the healing process and also anywhere that’s dry. It’s fabulous. It smells faintly like chocolate and rubs in well without a greasy afterfeel. I’ve used other cocoa butter and it was like a rock but this is smooth and melts nicely in my hands. It would be nice to have a jar for it but I just cut a corner off the package and have been squeezing it out. I plan to keep using it!

Ivory-colored but closer to white. Smells faintly like cocoa butter, but isn't hard as expected. Soft enough to apply to your skin directly from the bag, but not sure about other uses like making body care products.

The product came somewhat soft which makes it easy to use out of the bag as a skin moisturizer. I use it as an ingredient in soap. Made my first batch and it behaved wonderfully in my recipe. The cocoa butter has a very mild chocolate smell. The only change I would recommend is in how it's packaged. Due to it's softness, once you open the bag it can get very messy. To store what was left I placed their bag in a zip lock bag.

I bought all of the varieties of this brand of raw butters for making skin creams for myself and my family and friends. It mixes well with essential oils. I will buy these agin. The quality is superb. Very good price too.

I purchased the 100% organic raw cocoa butter, for the purpose of making lotion bars. So I had wanted and expected the hard block with potent smell of typical unrefined cocoa butter. What I received was very whipped and smooth in texture, off-white instead of the typical yellow color, and almost no smell at all. It didn’t appear to be cocoa butter that had melted at all, because there was no grit to it. I’m not sure if it was just a refined and whipped product they carry that was put into incorrect packaging (I bought three bags!), or if it has been mixed with some other types of oils making it so soft - but I cannot use it for the intended purpose. It does apply and moisturize very well, so I can still utilize it for a separate use (and it does not appear or smell out of date, even though it does not include any expiration on it), but I am still disappointed that the description on the listing does not match the product received, and I now need to repurchase cocoa butter. Another note is that the listing shows a resealable package. The actual packaging, once it open will need to be decanted.
