In the Realm of the Never Fairies: Secret World of Pixie Hollow, The (Disney Fairies) [Peterson, Monique] on desertcart.com. *FREE* shipping on qualifying offers. In the Realm of the Never Fairies: Secret World of Pixie Hollow, The (Disney Fairies) Review: Here's everything that's in it - I loved this book! A beautiful hardback, it describes everything a girl (or woman) would want to know about the world of Disney Fairies -- where they come from, how they live, what their special talents are, what they do for fun. Scattered throughout the book are two-page spreads spotlighting particular fairies, including a list of her likes, dislikes and favorite foods, flowers and games. It's all very cute. What makes it a must-buy, however, is its breathtaking artwork. Virtually every page has an intricate, colorful illustration. Most combine a watercolor background with a delicate foreground of fairies and animals. The art often rivals that of Disney's classic animated features, like "Pinocchio" and "Bambi." The only drawback: there's no table of contents! Here is what is inside: * Pixie Hollow: Where Never fairies live * How to spot a Never fairy * The ring of belief: How children believing in fairies keeps the little creatures alive * How fairies come to be: From a baby's first laugh * Arrival: What happens when a fairy arrives in Never Land * Fairy manners * The Home Tree * Queen Clarion: Profile of the Never fairies' leader * The Lobby: The main entrance to the Home Tree * Talents * Bedrooms * Profile of Prilla * Furnishings * Found objects: How fairies put everything to use * The Tearoom: Including a sample fairy menu * The Kitchen * Fairy Foods, including a recipe for Dulcie's Poppy-Puff Rolls * The Library * Leaf Lettering, including the fairy alphabet * Workshops * Profile of Tinker Bell * The Sewing Room * Fairy clothes * The Laundry Room * Bathing Branches: Where fairies take a bath * Fairy hygiene * Wing-washing fairies * Beyond the Home Tree * History of Pixie Hollow * Profile of Mother Dove * Animal-talent fairies * Profile of Beck * Animal-talent tunnels * The Mill: Where dust-talent fairies grind Mother Dove's old feathers into pixie dust * Profile of Terence * Havendish Stream: Where fairies swim and play * Water-talent fairies * Profile of Rani * The Meadows: Where fairies herd their caterpillars, butterflies and dairy mice * The Orchard: Where fairies harvest food * Profile of Vidia * Garden-talent fairies * Profile of Lily * Pixie Hollow flora, including gardening journal pages * Fairy remedies for fairy ailments * Nursing-talent fairies * Dangers to fairies: Including hawks, wasps, snakes and -- most famously -- disbelief * Scouts: Fairies who look out for, and fight against, dangers * Fairy amusements * Art-talent fairies * Profile of Bess * Great Games Day: Fairy Olympics * Music, including fairy song lyrics * Pixie Hollow at night * Light-talent fairies * Profile of Fira * The Molt: When Mother Dove sheds her magic feathers * The Fairy dances Review: A delightful look at Tinker Bell and the world of Pixie Hollow! - This beautifully-illustrated book is a must-have for fans of Tinker Bell and her fairy friends from Pixie Hollow, the magical realm where they all dwell in happiness and prosperity. I got this book to read to my preschooler and though the text itself is a bit too advanced and dense for her age group, I sort of condensed it for her enjoyment and of course, the gorgeous illustrations enhanced our appreciation of the book. This well-compiled book basically answers questions one may have about Pixie Hollow and its inhabitants - how does one identify a Never Fairy, how do fairies come to exist?, where exactly do fairies make their home [the home tree], and so on. There is quite a bit of coverage on the various inhabitants of Pixie Hollow, especially the Queen of the realm, the beautiful Queen Clarion, and of course, the different categories of fairies, such as Prilla, the mainland-visiting Fairy, Tinker Bell the tinker fairy, etc. It also explains the importance of Mother Dove, and why she is so venerated by the fairies. The illustrations play an important role in this book, as they provide a visual way of appreciating the various delights offered in Pixie Hollow, be it the beautiful fairies, the special rooms [ Tearoom, Lobby, Library], the clothing worn by the fairies and so on. All in all, I'd highly recommend this book for those who are fans of Tinker Bell and Pixie Hollow and also for those who appreciate fairies in general. It's a fun and interesting read that will have you clamoring for more!

A delightful look at Tinker Bell and the world of Pixie Hollow!
This beautifully-illustrated book is a must-have for fans of Tinker Bell and her fairy friends from Pixie Hollow, the magical realm where they all dwell in happiness and prosperity. A gorgeous book to look at
This was a Christmas gift to a 6 year old, but I thoroughly enjoyed looking at it myself. The illustrations are very pretty and I would say each of the 140 pages in it has at least one picture on it. You can flip to any page and read a short story or history to a child and they can enjoy the photos. Right now my daughter is flipping through the pages, telling me what different things she learned about faeries on each page. And the price with Amazon is the best, I have yet to find it cheaper, this is worth the money they are asking for such a nice, large hardback book.

BEST book (bargain or otherwise) I've EVER purchased from Amazon!
I can't add anything in terms of the content of this book which other reviewers haven't covered-- particularly the generous soul who took the time to video the page turning of this gorgeous marvel (whom I credit, in fact, with my own decision to buy this), so what I will add is that I bought this as a Bargain Book from Amazon, and in fact, took a chance and bought 12 various bargain books in my last order. Of all of the books, I bought 3 copies of this one, and while it did have a sticker on it identifying it as such, it was not at all obnoxious in any way, was easily removed from the dust jacket, and there was no line through the sides of the pages or anything else that would make it look like anything other than what it is-- a perfectly gorgeous book. I bought 3 so that I could pick the best to give as gifts and keep the most obvious bargain for my daughter, but all three were absolutely perfect, and I'm considering stocking up on a few more for gift-giving. You won't find a more perfect gift out there for all the girls who love whimsy.

Beautiful
The book is wonderfully done with beautiful art throughout. Though some of the text left me confused towards events that have not been mentioned in the movies. There are apparently several books to go with this one that help flesh out some of these mystery stories.

Overall good, but maybe not new?
It had the plastic around it, but there was slight folding on a few pages, a small tear on the first page and some very tiny staining on the side of the book. It's not a big deal and I am overall happy with the purchase, but it didn't seem completely new.

Contente pour le produit. Mais l'emballage était "limite" !! Insuffisant, les angles étaient un peu abîmés. Dommage ! C'est pour cela que je mets 4 étoiles.
