Doesn't feel sturdy enough to last a good while

The necklace is not as vibrant as shown. The sides of the necklace have minor scratches and it is cheap in appearance. Not worth $40 which is most likely why it is on sale for $8. The chain is plastic as well as the base. Doesn't feel sturdy enough to last a good while. I do like the color.
