Richard Scarry's Christmas Mice (Little Golden Book)

I remember reading this book as a child, and it was fun to read it again with my own daughter. The illustrations are so cute and we have fun looking for the mice on each page.

Great books for everyone by the author

This was the first book I read as a child and I got it for my daughter. I love the old school illustrations and easy read. It is truly a classic!

This was one of my favorite books as a child. I've been looking for a copy since my daughter was born and was pleased to finally get a chance to share this memory with her.This book makes a great year round bedtime story. Like most Little Golden Books it's short and has wonderful illustrations. The simple story of two mice exploring on Christmas morning will always be a joy to read to anyone who believes in Santa.

I have been looking for books that I owned and loved as a child. I only have a few of the originals and I feel terrible that I didn't keep them all now that I have a brand new nephew. Thanks to Amazon.com I've been re-building my collection. This book "Christmas Mice" brings up lovely memories of two of my favorite subjects Christmas time and animals. The pictures are sweetly drawn by Richard Scarry who illustrated many books during the sixties that I was very fond of. His depictions of mice and bunnies are precious and heartwarming. And the story is nice too because Santa Claus doesn't forget even the tiniest of mice at Christmas time. I hope that my nephew will develop a love for art, family traditions and animals that will be influenced by this book.

Sweet holiday story!

A Christmas story for young children about two little mice looking at all the gifts Santa left to see if he left them a gift. Of course he did, but small children will like the colorful illustrations and the cute story.

LOVE this book - we read it each Christmas even now that kids are older. Great for littles that cannot yet read, they have fun looking for the little mice in all kinds of places.

This is a delightful book with enchanting pictures about two sweet little mice who wander around the house late Christmas Eve after Santa has visited and left lots of presents for the family. As they explore, they wonder and marvel at all the presents they find - but then they wonder whether Father Christmas may have forgotten them - and these were not bad little mice like those in B. Potter's wonderful tale! :-)A most beautiful and `Christmassy' book that will delight any young child.NOTE: I LOVE some children's books, and I used to do a lot of drawing which I want to get back into. Some children's books are quite inspiring for this kind of thing - and this is one of them!

Gorgeous book, lovely Richard Scarry pictures - a simple story which is perfect for very little children and sweetly retro. But the book isn't well produced: advertised as hard cover, but actually a poor quality paperback reinforced with sharp cardboard. Not really good enough quality for a present. A shame because this is a sweet book.

Wanted to start a collection of holiday related books that didn't include overly religious themes. This cute, old-fashioned book talks purely about receiving gifts from Santa, which is fine with us for now.My son is two and speech/language delayed so he still has no idea what the holidays are but he could point to some of the toys in the book and label them.

A cute story about how the house mice discover that Santa has been- the only catch is that this family receives a puppy as a present for everyone. Can be an issue if your little ones really want a pet, but that's out of the question for your family! Overall as always wonderful illustrations, Little Golden books are a guarantee of quality. For very young kids.

Devo dire che da amante dei little golden book questo non è proprio il migliore. Adatto principalmente per piccoli lettori ci introduce al natale attraverso una piccola storia di topolini. Per un magico natale, comunque, qualsiasi libro da sfogliare ri-sfogliare in compagnia dei propri cari è sempre un bellissimo dono.
