Unicorn bags are used all over the world by spawn producers and mushroom growers because they provide a perfect environment for fungi growth in sterile substrates; and can be used for fungi and nematode production for bio-control of insects. Mycelia progresses and flourishes faster thanks to its exclusive technology and high bio-compatibility. These bags are 10" X 5" X 24" (25.4cm x 12.7cm x 61.0cm) in size, with gusseted sides and made from 3.0 mil polypropylene with a breathable patch. The filter patch allows for proper exchange but exclude water vapour so your spawn does not dehydrate. The filter also keeps contaminates out. These bags stay soft and easy to seal after sterilisation (heat in autoclave for six hours) at temperatures up to 125C (262 degrees Fahrenheit). The bag opening is designed for easy sealing and the bag's bottom seal can withstand agitation. You will need an impulse sealer to properly seal these bags but you can use paperclips or tape instead. The side-gusseted design gives a sturdy stand-up bag after filling and a strong bottom seal.
