Deco Art Americana Decor Stencil, Fleur De Lis Tile, White

I bought 2 for my project and 1 of them tore in a section when I cleaned it after doing a sample tile. I was very hesitant to use them on my project, but I persevered and did touch ups where the tear was. All in all my project turned out nice, but the stencil is flimsy. I used spray on adhesive and lightly rolled my paint on after blotting most off on a paper towel. Definitely use spray on adhesive to keep the stencil pressed down!

I transformed two rooms with this stencil - my dining area and my powder room floor. Talk about bang for your buck - I already had all the paints and just spent money on the stencil. I used green frog tape to hold up the stencil and just a regular painting brush to dab on. It is definitely better to be sparing with the paint - brush off as much as you can before applying on the stencil. Otherwise it will bleed through and you won't get the crisp lines. But if it does bleed through, just quickly wipe off with a damp paper towel. One thing to note is that the thin curliques will rip if handled roughly. Just be extra careful in the thin areas when handling and/or washing off the paint. I just love how elegant my dining area and powder room look!

Ordered this stencil to add some style to my victorian home. LOVE IT! It is exactly as shown, arrived when promised, and I really like that they shipped it in a box to assure it wouldn't get folded or dinged! Well done!!

Good stencil

First time stenciling - I used this to stencil in my bathroom. It came out beautifully. Given how inexpensive they are, I bought six so I wouldn't have to line up and space every stencil (I'm not that great a painter). I love how it came out. As a previous reviewer noted, the edges are not totally crisp, but unless you climb up on a ladder you don't notice. (I used a fairly dry roller to apply the paint, for what it's worth.) I don't think it's a fault with the stencil at all. The plastic is sturdy enough that I rinsed them off and saved them for future use.

I initially had the same issue as a previous reviewer, where the lines were "blobby" with lots of bleeding under the stencil. So, I got back online and searched for "stencil tips". Turns out that my brush had WAY too much paint on it. I corrected that issue, and presto...gorgeous results. If you want a "solid" look, you'll have to paint/let dry/paint again several times. USE AN ALMOST DRY BRUSH!!!! It happens that I liked the less opaque look, so I didn't need to go over it. Once I figured out what I was doing, it came out perfect.

Bought this stencil for a DIY project and love the results!!! Wish it came in a 2 pack to get the project done faster but we managed. We didn’t clean the stencil after each use so by the end of the project the stencil was warped and no good. For the price that’s ok. Our project still turned out as we expected it to!
