Mrs. Wages Medium Salsa Canning Mix, 4 Oz Packages (Pack of 6)

Really Love It!I usually go for the hottest & spiciest treats I can get. This is an exception because it has taste that really makes up for the lack of heat. (For many people this would be considered hot, my wife and son included.) Now I can serve salsa that is spicy and tasty without being overly hot.This is also great for simmering chicken breasts slowly and letting them pick up the taste.I use 1/2 of a package to make about 2 1/2 pint jars and set the rest of the spice mixture aside for another time. I serve the extra salsa and leave the 2 jars in the refrigerator for later.You can try different diced canned tomatoes. Straight up, garlic, Italian style etc. Kind of fun to experiment.Once I go through the 12 packages of the mild and the medium mixes (about 60 pint jars worth), I will definitely get the hot variety of this product. Don't care if I have to eat it all by myself. In fact, it would be my pleasure - literally.At $4.00 or $5.00 per pint jar for store bought salsas, this ends up much cheaper even with the price of canned tomatoes factored in (bought a whole bunch on sale).

This product is easy to use and the directions are very clear. The end results may very slightly depending on the type of tomatoes used and the size of them. Roma’s are best. I have an extra jar or two sterilized just in case I have extra. I have tried several salsa recipes but since I first tried this seasoning mix, I have never gone back to any of the others. My son said this tastes like the salsa at his favorite Mexican restaurant. I take that as high marks.

This is the first time I've tried this product. Very tasty spices. Great to put into tomato dishes or soups or to make your own salsa. Each pack is fairly large, more than the two of use per time. Although if you make a batch of fresh salsa, you likely will use one full pack, but makes a large batch. Price is not too bad at this time? Depending where you live as to how to compare. It arrived in a nice clean outer box, all inner packs were perfect. Very happy with it. Pricing better not go up due to favorable reviews, or I will not rebuy.

Easy, fast, and delicious salsa preparation kit. I recommend fresh tomatoes or canned whole tomatoes for the smoothest finished product. I add an additional 1-2 cups of tomatoes for a smoother consistency without sacrificing taste.

My family enjoys Mrs. Wages Salsa Mix very much. We tweek it in our own personal way. Like I cook my much longer than indicated on the package to intensify flavors. I add jalepinos and habaneros to some also. Each family member does there own personal methods but the basic is Mrs. Wages and it makes for awesome salsa no matter what you choose to tweek it with. It's great and stands on its own even if you don't add anything

So this was the first time I have ever made salsa. That being said my wife and I searched for a good recipe and came across this one. It was very easy to make with the instructions. And after we tasted I was sold, its fantastic the flavor is great and the spice is perfect. Great product.

When I decided to try canning salsa I really wanted a 'home-made' recipe like I do for pickles. But I kept reading about all the safety hazards when canning tomatoes and getting the ratios just right so I decided to try this and just hoped for the best. Well I'm glad I did. It's delicious and, for me, just the right bit of heat (you taste it but it doesn't linger too long)! Since tomatoes are in season I've made about 6 batches so that we'll have it over the winter. Actually, it probably won't last that long so I'll try it using canned tomatoes when that happens. Go for it!
