I have a giant german shepherd that likes to go after squirrels and this held her back and works excellent for corrections and overall better control compared to a cheaper one I got earlier. The little leather tab that helps position the lead up high near the dog's ears doesn't immediately slide around like other leads so it actually stays in the right place. The leather parts that keep the leash together are rock solid, unlike other cheaper leashes that look hot glued.

Absolutely beautiful leash! The only thing I wish I could change is the thickness— while it is very sturdy it is a smidge thick for my taste. If they had a 6mm option I would be thrilled. But please don’t let it deter you from buying if you have a larger dog! My Shiba inu is 23 pounds so it still doesn’t look too big on him, but any smaller breed wouldn’t need one this thick. But aside from that one tiny thing- Gorgeous leash, love how the leather stopper is firmly in place and doesn’t move once you slide it to adjust your fit, which is GREAT! I am a professional dog trainer and I would recommend this leash happily. Awesome price, awesome quality.

I have a Husky and Australian Shepard mix, both with a little attitude but an abundance of energy when they know we are going to go for a walk. I have used harnesses and they don't even come close to doing what these simple leads do. After watching Ceasar on tv, I decided to look for leads to help with the walking process and figured it couldn't hurt. These are amazing and I LOVE THEM. They work so well, I don't have any issues with the leather piece sneaking through and not stopping it from loosening too much like I saw someone else said. I also don't have the struggle I had before I had these leads, when walking my dogs. The still want to pull a bit, and I am working on it because that's what it takes. People working on it and having that patience. The leads won't fix the problem of a dog pulling completely but they sure listen and understand that pulling doesn't feel good and they can't drag me and giving me more control to be able to handle the walks. These are extremely worth getting if you know what you are doing and how to use them. (Keeping under the jaw, not on the neck.)

I love these leashes and can't recommend them enough. I do alot of animal rescue work and these are the only leashes that I will use now. They are comfortable in your hand and very sturdy. I have used them on many types of dogs ranging from really small dogs all the way up to 150+ lb dogs. To be honest I have even used them on goats before. The 3/8 is great for small dogs and the 1/2 is best for all other size dogs. I prefer the longer 6ft length ones. I keep at least one of each in all of my vehicles because you never know when you may need one. I love the variety of color options they have and these make great gifts too.

I bought this lead to use for conformation show practice, and while it was thicker than I expected (much too thick and long to use in the ring) it still makes a nice, sturdy everyday slip leash. I like that there is a small leather "stop" that can be used to adjust the maximum size of the loop - it helps keep the leash loop from slipping over my wiggly puppy's head and over his legs or body, the way other slip leads always seem to do. Overall, this is a very nice, sturdy leash, lightweight and great for everyday use. But if you're looking for a show lead like I was, be sure to pick something smaller.

Its decent but way over priced

Great slip lead! The quality and price are incredible. I recently welcomed a GSD pup into our home. This simplifies rushing him outdoors while in the potty training process. It is extremely well constructed, and is thicker than those I've used in the past. Both, my pup and I, are extremely satisfied with this purchase. Purchase this, you'll not be disappointed. When the box came I had no idea the leash was in there as the box was very light. I opened the package and at first, was a little disappointed because it was so light and which makes one think not very strong. This is not a cheap leash BUT it is very lightweight and strong and appears well made. The lightness and slip lead makes everything easier and I've been training dogs since the 60s'. This is a surprisingly good product and makes training IF used correctly very easy.

The product is easy to use very light in weighr and ideal to control a hyper dog. Should have bought an additional one for later.

Good quality, kind on hand :) still learning how to use one but I love this so far!
