Brilliant Addition to All Cars!
I have one of these for myself, and while I have never had to use it on my car, my partner has had to use it twice on his - due to leaving the lights on! Not his fault of course, the car didn’t beep on those two occasions to remind him to switch them off! I decided this would be an ideal Christmas present for him to keep in his boot so when the battery dies again in the future I don’t need to be called out! It is a very well made charger with a very clear to read display. The instructions are very clear English too, so won’t be an issue for someone who’s never used one of these to use it properly! It also has a couple of other features like an LED torch and a couple of USB ports - this will be handy for picnics and days away with the car. When there’s already USB devices using the ports in the car. It arrived with around 70% charge so ready to use right out of the box. We flattened the battery on his car to use as a demonstration- takes around 5 minutes to set it up, and as soon as it’s connected it gives enough power to start the car. Usually, when jump starting a car you have to wait a good 5-10 minutes for the power to transfer. Not with this - it really is instant! I would recommend this EVERYONE! Not just those who have had a flat battery in the past. If you carry a set of jump leads in your car, replace them with one of these car booster packs.

Great piece of kit
I was looking for a portable jump starter for use on our two minibuses that we only operate in spring and summer. Over the winter the batteries invariably go flat. I was expecting to buy a large power pack but came across this. I got the chance to test it on my own car when I left the rear door slightly open overnight and the interior light drained the battery. I charged the unit to 100% and it started my car first time. As a matter of interest I put it straight back on charge to see how much turning the engine over had taken out of the charger. The answer was - nothing. It still had 100% of its charge. Incredible for a relatively small unit. Instructions could be better - but what's new.

Holds its charge well.
Bought this to have in an emergency should I ever need it. It's a well built sturdy looking piece of kit. I haven't had an occasion to use it to jump start a car yet but I fully charged it when I recieved it and put it in my car. I took it out to check the charge on it yesterday after 5 months in the car and it was at 95%. Good sign should I ever need it. You can also use it to charge your devices or to trickle charge your car battery. Comes with all necessary cables etc. What's not to like. Update 2024: Got the opportunity to use it to jump start my daughters car on two occasions and worked perfectly. Shame it's no longer available. It also still holds it charge like it did when I bought it.

It started car with flat battery BUT....
Worked like a charm starting my car which had not been driven for 3 weeks. BUT, and it is a BIG but, he clamp for live terminal gripped battery terminal just fine, but the negative one could only grip the retaining clamp nut for the negative terminal, and even then only just! It was dark and wet, but it looks like the battery is situated just too far under the lip/sill (call it what you will) of the car bonnet to allow for a decent connection. Will check again when it is neither dark nor wet but suspect this product, despite working, is totally unsuitable for my car (Skoda Yeti 66 plate). Will update later.

Wow. Not only Imazing but an Amazing bit of kit
I recently had a mercy mission where my sons car wouldn’t start. So off i went, traditional jump leads at the ready and managed to get him started and back home. This then got me looking at Car Starting Boosters, where I discovered this little beauty. So I took the plunge. However all cars at home are working well, so I took to work where I manager a large logistics operation where flat batteries are common place. A bit of an unfair test I thought a these are large twin axle commercial vehicles, however day 1, we had one of our vans with a flat battery, I turned up with this lovely bit of kit and within literally seconds the vehicle had gone from completely flat and barely cranking to bursting into life. Very impressive bit of kit. Buy one and keep in your car, it will get you out of trouble one day. This is a seriously well made and robust bit of kit, and comes in a nice hardy storage pouch.

Does the job.
Did the job. Controls aren't quite intuitive, the manual uses different terms for some things, but it's OK. I've only used it once. It started my 2.0D Subaru from flat, but it went from 98% to 46% in order to do this once. On that basis, I wouldn't expect many goes at starting something heavier. Interestingly, it went from 100% to 98% just by turning the torch on. The torch was useful, but not enough to justify 2%. I suspect therefore that the percentage charge display isn't to be taken too literally. Never the less, it worked, is compact, things pack in the case nicely, has every conceivable recharging mechanism covered. Another good is the charging leads opened wide and allowed a good contact with the battery leads. My battery clamps are quite chunky, and my previous charger struggled to get a decent purchase on them.
