365 by Whole Foods Market, Organic Traditional Baked Beans, 15 Ounce

Canned baked beans are not for everyone, but I really like them. It may be a comfort food given I ate plenty as a kid. Although I try to eat healthy, I'm not a healthy food absolutist. I do buy fresh organic fruits and vegetables, mostly sourced from local farms if possible to subsidize our small backyard garden. But replicating some things like canned baked beans can take a lot of time and don't always come out quite the same as what I am hoping. I've tried multiple canned baked beans and some were too sweet, too mushy, had off flavors, have ingredients with names too long to read, or are very overpriced organic brands. Then I found 365 Organic Traditional Baked Beans. At less than HALF the price I was paying per can for a different brand, I found this to have almost the exact same flavor, consistency (not mushy/not too firm), very basic ingredients, and is still organic. Honestly, I cannot be more satisfied with this product. The ONLY knock is that in almost every can I have opened so far, I have found 1-2 beans that looked different from all the rest. They looked like kidney beans, distinct from the rest. That said, they tasted the same, and really were unnoticeable had I not seen them before eating them. The don't bother me one bit. But it could suggest their sourcing/sorting may not be 100% perfect. For me, this product hits all the right marks and if you like canned baked beans, prefer organic, and are someone who looks at prices...this is a GREAT choice.

These are just as good as Heinz Vegetarian Baked Beans. We get a can delivered every month as a special treat. Sometimes we have the British beans on toast. Other times, we use it with our barbecued proteins. Yum!

I really enjoyed these beans. they were delicious and a good price. The sugar content was not unreasonable but a little high for my taste at 11g of added sugar. Protein content is decent, but just 6g from a serving size of 130g. Oh, and 0g fat!

Oh my goodness are you kidding me, as akid I loved pork and beans with hot dogs when we went camping. But now I am a vegan (got cancer in 2013, got it removed and been cancer free since) and it was so hard to find it without the meat or broth. These baked beans brought back so many memories. They ar so delicious, not to sweet and perfectly seasoned.

Thanks! These make the best Beans on Toast! An American invention but a UK thing! If anything, these taste better than my UK beans. They are nicely spiced with hints of molasses sweetness. Served on Toast & butter, cheese on top & pop in the oven. In the picture this was one half of the can only, not the whole can! Great! Thanks again!

The flavor was bland, which is ok because I could spice them up, but the beans were hard. Perhaps cooking for a lenght of time might soften them. Should have just tried one can, but I bought 3 because of them being organic. Also, I do not like receiving a dented can.

Love the baked beans!

I made baked beans utilizing these as well as beef bacon and everyone at Thanksgiving was shocked. We no longer eat pork and these tasted GREAT.
