Beginner's Step-By-Step Coding Course: Learn Computer Programming the Easy Way (DK Complete Courses)

Really easy to read and full of information! A great book for adults who want to learn to code.

bought this for a partner’s sibling who had just told us he wanted to make a career change. He had already started studying so I didn’t want to buy something irrelevant or oversimple. This was easy enough to understand, while going into complex lessons on a variety of coding languages. Would recommend, I was tempted to buy myself a copy.

The book is full of basic knowledge to help get you coding. It covers a lot of different coding languages but doesn't go into enough depth for it to be the only book you would need, because of this it can be a bit overwhelming. It would probably be a good book for young children that are showing an interest in coding as it talks you through scratch that is widely used in schools.

Well set out easy to follow

It's a very informative book with clear explanations and easily digestible language. It's starts with the easy and progresses into harder coding. I'm still in the scratch coding section. I've noticed when using the online website to do the coding, the book explanations don't seem to match-up well here and there. The inputs are exactly the same, but the code isn't doing anything. I think the Scratch coding section in the book is slightly outdated, but still educational. It's causing issues when following the instructions, though (for this aspect). I think I'll have to just read through the chapter then do the online tutorials from scratch, as opposed to the books'. Hopefully it's not like this for the following chapters. If it is, I'll be back with an update. I will be, anyway, when I truly finish it for a proper review. I gave it a 3 star rating atm. It's subject to change.

Absolutely amazing book, very helpful and inspiring. Just reading the first couple of pages is already making me feel so much more knowledgeable about programming.

Visual presentation is superb. Also words are not cluttered so it’s enjoyable to read through

Le design est vraiment sympa mais une fois cela passé des informations importantes sont manquantes et d’autres sont incomplètes. Les exercices de mise en pratique sont assez sympa mais ce qui ressort est que le livre en général mériterait d’être plus complet. Comme premier pas dans ce monde theodinproject est plus intéressant.

This is a great coding book. Very simple to follow and to understand. Programmers - watch your back.

Great for kids as well as adult beginners alike. The design of the book is such that it’s easy on the mind and brain to understand the content. Very very well thought out and well planned book.
