C-Line Expanding File with Handles, Letter Size, Black (48211)

I don't normally review products, but this thing is VERY cool. This is made of high quality plastic and canvas. The handles are vinyl and they feel STRONG. The color-coded labels help organization and the included printer instructions are perfect: which is perfect for organization. I am sure that this thing will last two years as the quality feels great! Five Stars.5/18/2013I've now owned this for three years and it's still in good shape. There is some wear and tear where the handles are stitched to the folder itself, but it looks like they'll probably last another year at least: not bad for sixteen bucks.

I am a middle school teacher and I use this file everyday to transport papers back and forth from school and home for grading. This file allows me to divide all my papers by period and graded/not graded. It has also helped ensure that I don't lose any papers in transit. The handles are a huge plus when you have so many items to carry each day already. I viewed tons of expanding files and took a chance on this one because it was inexpensive. I doubt that the more expensive files could be much better than this one. I am going to purchase another!

Everyone's preferences are different for a product like this but I love these.1) The handles are great. No need to hold the file folder in your arms if you're carrying other things. Can put my wrist through them or hold with a few fingers.2) Pretty rugged construction for this type of product3) The smaller closure (versus an entire flap) is great. No flap coming down on the folder blocking my view when trying to I'm filing things or looking for things inside it.

This was for my daughter who is a recent widow. She was overwhelmed with paperwork that she had never had to deal with. This expanding file has made it easy to keep her paper work for insurance, bills owed and paid. It is handy and has enough room for the paperwork having to deal with the death of her husband. She was never involved with the paperwork for the home so now she is learning "filing 101". This case will hold a good amount of files and the labeling for the tabs helps tremendously. This was a great purchase!!

The feline expanding expanding file I bought it just basically to put in my day today household paper such as bills papers I need to save for taxes the kids papers, or just anything that I really don't have time to go and put away where it belongs in I'm very organized to me papers so I have boxes pretty much for everything on file boxes so but on the everyday I received means that I just don't have time to put them away at but I don't want them all over so this is what I bought this expandable file for I just received it and its really nice it has some its plastic and has a little bit of canvas it has a velcro closure and handles two handles to carry it I can't remember I think it has like 12 dividers which is really good however the only one thing that I don't like in this is why I'm giving this a good review and three stars instead of 4 5 the bottom is not expendable so the top is expandable and it still limited because of course the closure is not stretchy it's just so as far as the closure goes as as much as you're going to be able to close this and feel this file up with for what I needed right now that's perfect because if I can close the file that means it's time that I need to start organizing and filing things away however I didn't want one for work and this is not going to cut it because like I said the bottom doesn't expand and the top all the way to expand so that you can search but it doesn't expand to whole very much all in all I don't see it expanding more than maybe 3 inches and that's not a lot when you take into consideration the thickness of the file holder as well as the dividers because they are plastic it is a durable product you can tell that the quality is really good however like I said for my needs it's okay but it's not great and definitely not perfect but if what you need is something just to put in a few things and you don't need something that expands very much then this is nice.

I purchased this when I was expecting our first child, and it has been the perfect filing system to keep all her important records, as well as instructions/receipts for baby gear and other purchases. It is very compact and could have many uses. I love the sleek black design, also!

I found a cheap version in Kmart that's somewhat cheaper, but it also looks like it will break any minute and is flimsy and difficult to use (cheap plastic that keeps flopping about, about to cut your finger.). This one costs about double (counting shipping) but is more than worth it. Still not expensive, but is tons nicer, and it's shipped to you too.I use this on top of the piano for my son to put sheet music in. Love it!

We have bought two of these so far for family members! I work at a Head Start as a Preschool teacher so this is just what I needed to transfer papers between home and work. It won't totally protect your papers from the rain, but so far my papers haven't gotten wet. It's easy to carry, opens and closes nicely, and can fit a lot of papers in it.
