Great Bike for My Needs. Strong, Stable and Easy to Ride. Not Super Fast
This bike has turned out to be a very good purchase for me.I live on my boat in Los Angles and am able to attend to 90% of my brick and mortar shopping without using my car since this bike is beefy and has no problem handling a couple of saddle bag type baskets as well as a basket on the handlebars. A 36 pack of canned beer rides securely on the rear rack held in place with bungee cordsI bought the three speed model and am glad I did. Even though the area around us is pretty flat there are a few sloped ramps, on our great local bike paths, that make me appreciate the ability to shift down. Down wind on a level surface, or down hill, the high gear is useful. Some days the breeze off the ocean is strong enough to cause me to shift down when headed up wind. The three speed has no derailleur so the bike has a chain guard. This bike is very easy to ride and takes a lot of the back and hand stress out of riding my bike. Im 72 and outgrew dropped handlebars about half a century ago.It took me a few days to get used to coaster brakes again, after decades of cool bikes with hand brakes. But now Im cool with the coaster brake and really like the lack of clutter on the handle bars.I added a bell, lights and a holder for my smart phone. I also added a really nice rear view mirror which is a great safety feature. I got a nice beefy lock on Amazon and really like the fact that I can drop it in my basket instead of going to the trouble of installing it on the mount on the bike every time I take off.Since I live in southern California fenders seemed pointless so I skipped that accessory. The bike is easy to ride with its big tires but is not fast. If you want a fast bike a beach cruiser is probably not what you should buy.Unless I have some compelling reason to get in my car I do all my local travel on my bike. Its easier, faster many times, and there are no parking hassles or cost. I rode it 25 miles round trip to a doctor appointment a week ago. It was along the beach where there is a nice bike path and lots of scenery. It was not an exhausting experience but then I was not in a big hurry. As I ride to the gym every morning Im passed by cyclists on high tech bikes who are bent into incredibly uncomfortable looking positions over their dropped handle bars. As they zoom past I reflect on the fact that I definitely bought the right bike for me and also that some people should not be wearing lycra cycling outfits. The only negative about this purchase was that the packaging on the bike was not adequate to protect it in shipment. The three speed shifter on the rear axel had broken through the cardboard box and got scratched up in shipment. The damage did not look like it was more than cosmetic and I did not want o hassle with repacking the bike to return it so I went ahead and accepted as it was.

Great cruiser for Ingress adventures
I did plenty of research on all sorts of bikes prior to buying this one, and decided to get a beach cruiser type. I looked around the interwebs and discovered BeachBikes.net. After looking at all the reviews on their bikes I decided to buy a single-speed Matte Black Bruiser because it's the most badass looking of them all.The bike arrived very promptly to my front door, and the moment I got home I ripped the box apart and assembled the bike like it was Christmas morning. The bike had very clear instructions on how to build it correctly. It took me, a complete beginner at bike building, around 30 minutes to install. Once that was done I adjusted the seat and handlebar to fit my height and went on a quick joyride around the neighborhood. It was the best bike riding experience I have ever had in my life.I bought the bike mostly for riding to and from college, but sometimes I like to ride around town and visit some Ingress portals nearby. The next time I need a beach bike, I wouldn't hesitate to buy them from BeachBikes.net again.

Terrible Experience
I ordered 2 bikes from Firmstrong, one for myself and one for my wife. My bike was missing a nut on the crank, which I did not notice during assembly, and a few miles from my house there was a catastrophic failure. Long story short I am fine, but walking the bike home was an adventure. The return process with Amazon was terrible, and the customer service rep flat out lied. Initially I was told I could get a replacement sent, then later, I was told that I needed to send the bike back and reorder another. This is crazy and I've never experienced this issue before. I asked to speak with their manager and was surprised when the rep stated that his manager would say the same thing. This is terrible customer service and when I finally convinced him to transfer me to the manager, the manager agreed to sending a replacement while I returned the current bike.To make this adventure even better, my wife's bike now has issues as the brake is experiencing a terrible metal on metal grinding sound. I am debating returning this one too, going to a local bike shop and having them take a look, or cutting my losses and trying a different brand.I may have gotten unlucky, but know that with this brand your results will vary. I was 0 for 2, but I'm hoping third time is a charm with the replacement bike.

Love this bike!!!!
Oh man do I love this bike!!!It rides so smooth and awesome. There is a little bit of ride noise “chain” when in 3rd gear but nothing terrible. The gears switch smoothly and the seat is extra comfortable. It’s assembled quickly and is the perfect size for me I’m 5”10 170lbs. The bike is very stylish and always turns heads. I would recommend this bike to anyone.

Light but Fairly Sturdy Bike
I am 6'2", 315 lbs. The bike fits me perfectly, though I did upgrade the seat for extra comfort. This bike easily could support someone 6'5". It's extremely light, which I love, but I won't be hopping down any platforms. I suspect the light weight sacrificed the bike's ability to withstand a lot of pressure coming down on it. And like other people have commented about their bikes, mine came with a dent in it. That's just a risk you take with such a light bike. It's so light I suspect it can dent very easily. But I absolutely love this bike. It looks and rides great!
