VolkmanAvian Science Super African Grey Bird Food 4lb

My Amazon parrot is a very picky eater. This is the only seed she likes. And only healthy seeds. She eats fresh fruit and veggies, cooked sweet potatoes.....Seeds are not her main food source.

I really like the variety of seed, pasta, cinnamon sticks, star spice, so much extra that I’ve never seen in any other bird seed. Great quality seed. I’m sold now going to always purchase

As long-time owners of an African Grey Parrot and also a Macaw, we have used a variety of foods for our birds. We have always tried to find good value, but not at the expense of poor quality, or food that our birds don't seem to relish. Over years, we've tried many different food blends, but after finding and first using the Volkman Avian Science Foods some three years ago, we have used no other blended food. Our African Grey gets a combination of this African Grey food and sunflower seeds, and our Macaw gets a combination of the the Volkman Macaw food and pistachios. Both birds enjoy the food and maintain great appearance and health.This is not inexpensive food--and at times it can be limited supply. We have used three different suppliers over time (including Amazon), because it is not always consistently in stock at all places. I would welcome a little lower price--more in line with other more common foods--but they simply don't match the quality or are as well-liked by our birds, so I pony up the money to buy the Volkman. I have found this food to be consistently fresh and the same high-quality blend, sack after sack. All-in-all, based on our experience I can highly recommend this food for your parrots; I think it's worth the extra challenge and cost to locate and buy.

I really like this product. It contained lots of seeds, dried pasta, even cinnamon sticks and dried fruit. My only concern it also contained dried lentils, and peas. Which my parrots tried to put in their water to soften up. I usually stay away from uncooked dried beans. But it was definitely a good product for my african grays.

Came fast and my birds love it.

I always buy Volkman. The seeds are always fresh and never infested with unmentionables that come with mixes from bird stores. Volkman has a good variety of quality seed mixes, without the shells that are messy and non-consumable. Been buying Volkman for many years, different varieties.

It seems ok but he doesn’t like the corn in it !
